Idyllic forest with cycling paths, coves, laid-back beach bars and quiet spaces - all right by the coast. Love the beach where you can leave your own little stone cairn and try to remember which one it was on your next visit!
Punta Corrente is lovely park area with plenty of beaches, extremely well preserved and maintained. There are a couple of bars where you can have a drink or snack in the shade before diving to the big amazing Adriatic blue. We would definitively return next...More

We had a nice evening walks through this place and everything is very relaxed. People are just observing sunset, relax and enjoy the scenery. To get a bit disconnected from the city rush you should try walking around this park

To give you a useful answer, it would be helpful to know where you're coming from and what you mean by "near". If you're coming from out of town by bus, the bus stop is in the centre of Rovinj and it's about a fifteen minute walk to the park. (If you have a smartphone, use an app like ViewRanger or Google Maps offline to find your way around.) At the moment the waterfront promenade route from town to the park is blocked by building work so you need to walk along roads inland.
It's well worth it. If you're just visiting the one time, give yourself between 90 minutes and half a day. Have a coffee or snack in one of the discreet cafes, unwind, enjoy the views and the peace and get your soul back. We stayed in an adjacent hotel recently and walked for a couple of hours every day here, with little repetition.
