After booking with Olive and Spice almost a year out my husband and I finally arrived in Porec in October 2022. Marko and Chelsea picked us up in Zagreb and took us back to the apartment we rented from them for the next 4 days. Everything they had planned for us was perfect. Porec was the beautiful place to stay for a trip to see all of Istria. Walking the cobbled streets too have breakfast at a cafe or a sunset drink on the water. Marko and Chelsea picked us up every day and took us to a Cooking class at his family restaurant, Truffle Hunting, Wine and Olive Oil tastings, Rovinj, Bale, Pula, and a special lunch with Nevio, and so much more. Chelsea and Marco brought Istria to life for us and we will never forget our time spent with them and hope that in time we will get to see them and Croatia again.

we visited Poreč for a long weekend, so we wanted to avoid spending our time on finding out what to do and see within the short time we had
We found olive and spice over their Instagram profile, and wanted to see as much as possible of Istria
Chelsea and Marko showed, us the city of Vrsar, only few kilometers from our accommodation in Porec away. The best thing, we could leave our car at our accommodation and the picked us up with their classy Mercedes V-class van. To start the trip wright, we were offer some sparkling wine to refresh our selfs.
We visited the Polidor beachbar, one of the hidden must sees, where we had some great snacks from the local bar, and again some liquid refreshments :)
After a few hours in the sun (you have to come back from your short trip tanned= and swimming, Chelsea brought us to a small fish restaurant in Vrsar, as we have told here we would like to taste the local cousine
Great starters from the local see products, followed by the best black risotto ever tasted and finished with an amazing fish backed in salt - you must try this.
The whole meal was followed by wine, which was chosen by Chelsea, who has learned in the time she lives in Croatia, which wine followed which taste.
The evening was finished with an amazing sunset, consuming again refreshments and summing the whole day perfectly up
If you want to have a short trip, without worrying about what to do, where to eat but still experience all beauties of this region you absolutely need to hire Olive and Spice which will take all your worries away, and show you only the best.

Chelsea and Marko are a young newly married couple. They picked us up from our hotel and took us on an istria adventure. They started by asking us a few questions to see what our preferences were and took us to the most amazing spots. We would of never found these places going on our own. I cant recommend olive and spice more. Marko and Chelsea made the day the most memorable day of our entire trip!!

Chelsea and Marko know all of the best spots in Istria for sights, bites and drinks. They will show you the view of the area that only locals have and not something you will ever find on a regular mainstream tour. You will be in great hands, just show up and trust them to show you the best trip you could imagine.

Chelsea and Marko of Olive and Spice are the ultimate hosts when visiting Croatia. During our recent visit, they planned all of our activities in Porec, as well as day trips to all of the surrounding towns. They were able to make dinner reservations at all of the best restaurants in town, and introduce us to people everywhere we went. It was a huge advantage having their help and guidance, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to have a unique and seamless travel itinerary when visiting Croatia.

Our private tour trip was AMAZING,Chelsea and Marko pick us in front of our appartmant in Porec im excellent Marcedes van,our daugther was enjoing so much driving,first stop was in goat farm near Pula we try some relly good local goat cheese and some homemade pasta,after we went to quick tour of pula to see arena and to take some great family picture,then we stop to see how they produce prosciutto but istrian,of course we was hungry again so we didnt wait to long to visit Rovinj a d try lokal sea food with amazing mussells and oyster direkt from sea,relly cool experiance and great company

Marko and Chelsea set us up at a fantastic house outside Porec for our stay. We spent each day with them traveling to different locations throughout Croatia, Slovenia and Italy. It was truly a trip to remember and we will definitely be going back with our wives and significant others! The pick up and drop off service from Venice was ideal as it allowed us to explore areas on the way to and from the airport to break up the drive and see some places we would have otherwise not gotten a chance to see. Prosecco Road just outside Venice was FANTASTIC and is a must! A+ experience and would encourage any one thinking of it to just book and let them be your guide, you wont be disappointed!

If you are traveling to Istria and want every part of your trip to be taken care of, go with Olive & Spice. Not only will you hit all the best spots, but they will also take you to best local restaurants and hidden gems. They do not recommend anything that they haven't been to personally. I had a great trip and would highly recommend visiting the country.

I was recommended Olive and Spice by a friend after she found out we were going to Croatia for our honeymoon and it just happened that we were planning to be in Istria, where Olive and Spice plan! Since we already had a lot planned, we scheduled a full day wine tour. WOW - Chelsea and Marko are amazing. Their genuine pride of Istria and want to show off all of its beauty was very apparent and made us feel, for a day, that we were in on the secrets too. We had a blast! Went to some great wineries and the best hidden gem of a restaurant with not only fabulous food, but also amazing views. Had we known the full scope of their business before we’d started planning we probably would’ve reached out earlier. They are so passionate about making each trip perfect and they definitely deliver. Thanks again for our perfect day!!!

What an amazing experience!!!
We were absolutely stunned with the beauty of every part of Istria in our 1st visit, a beautiful adventure throught the coast of Poreč, Vrsar, Rovinj and through wineyards of central Istria. We got to Olive and spice (Chelsea and Marko) through their Instagram account - full with great photos and stories.
Our trip no.1 started with a boat ride, we enjoyed the coastal view of western Istra,
started in Poreč, stopped in a beautiful private beach Polidor and then continued with the ride by the coast of Vrsar, entered to Lim Fjord and finished in one of the most visited places in Europe, magical Rovinj. Chelsea and Marko took us to a secret restaurant, the surrounding of the restaurant is almost unreal, we had a dinner and enjoyed the sunset in a olive garden with some awesome food!!
The kindness of Chelsea and Marko got to the point that we thought we know each other for years, so we decided to have a trip no.2 next day, through central Istria. We had a ride with their van from Poreč to old cities of Motovun and Grožnjan (I have to say that Motovun has some of the nicest sunsets views I've ever seen). Once again we had a perfect dinner, enjoyed Istrian prosciutto, gnocchi with truffles and great wine.
Chelsea and Marko were awesome!! Kind and relaxed, they made from our stay in Poreč and Istria a beautiful experience that we will never forget, actually we are pretty sure that we will come again to see other secret places of this magical land that they have for us!

Hello!
How many people can you take on one tour.... we are a group of 14 wishing to expore the food and wines of Istria. Will be staying in a villa close to Rakalj 15-23 june.

If you have already arranged with another tourism group we would still be happy to make several vineyard and restaurant recommendations that we love in the area since food and wine is our favorite part of Istria!
