This was just an amazing little adventure.
I would recommend it for everybody who likes nature and is not scared of rougher terrain.
You can learn a lot about the cave, its history and animals that live inside.
Guides were great, I'm a bit jealous of speleologists and their job after this visit.

We loved our visit down the Pazin cave. It was a rainy day before so the slopes and cave were slippery (but that only added to the adventure). We've been on quite a few ziplines already but taking one in a pitchdark cave lit only by the lights on our helmets was a completely new experience. We took the trip with our 8year olds which was perfectly doable if they are a bit adventurous (I can't keep mine out of trees, if you know what I mean). Great to combine with a long zipline ride over the valley btw.

We had not expected that this experience was as wonderful as it turned out to be!!!
Do note that this is a quite physical activity that requires climbing up and down and across rocks, holding on to ropes, taking careful steps and ziplining into the darkness of a cave - twice !!

The tour operators (husband and wife) made sure that everyone was perfectly safe.

One really felt like a cave explorer. Our kids could not believe we did this :-)

Highly, highly recommended!

What a fantastic experience! I was never even in a "big cave" until last year, and this was the first time I spelunked! Took me 69 years, but this is a great place to start, easy, but challenging, and our two guides, Sacha & Sacha, were outstanding. They made sure we were safe and got a good education.

It was a rainy day and honestly , i didn’t feel like doing anything outside the hotel room. But since arrangements were made, I went anyways. The group consisted of four people plus two guides, but make no mistakes, those two guides weren’t just your regular „ let’s drag this batch through the cave „ these two are geologists which gave this tour a whole new perspective ( I did two cave tours in Asia, well that was a bit less informative as you might guess) The rain only made the way down to the cave entrance more adventurous, walking over muddy slippery steps, climbing rocks and crossing little rivers stepping over stones. Don’t think, walk :-)! In order to get deeper into the cave, you have to take two short ziplines across some water. Into the dark. And at the very end off the tunnel, we switch off all lights both on our helmets and torches. It was pitch black, pure darkness. During the whole „expedition“, we learned about the caves, floods, the animals that live in the cave and saw different species that lived there right in front of us.
all information was provided very professionally due to the scientific background of Alex and Madlen, yet everything was easy to understand and explanations were visualized by a tablet.
All in all, we had a lot of fun, totally unexpected. And please: wear a good pair of shoes suited for hiking, no Flipflops !

Very professional. A very nice tour. A must see when in Pazin or even anywhere of Istrië. We recommend this for nature lovers and people who are a bit adventurous. There is a bit of climbing to do and you have to have a bit of luck with the weather and wildlife (sometimes there are a lot of flies). There are only 4 places in the world were a cave like this is formed. So for the mere price of 25 euros, you can't be dissapointed.

During a trip to Pazin, we came across the cave guide who had a little information booth right at the starting point of the visit. After talking to him, we registered for a visit a few days later.

The tour was very nice, the (two) guides very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. There is a stream flowing into the cave, forming a little lake inside it from where the water disappears into the ground. On the way there, one can see a few animals (frogs, shrimp, snake) living in the cave, and some rock formations.

The cave has been left in its natural form, so the trip involves zip lines into and in the cave and rough underground, sure footing is required. Aside from that, anybody can do this. All necessary equipment is provided for. It might make sense to bring an additional flash light to be a little independent from the head lamp which is provided by the tour.

The tour was guided by two experienced spologists, and we were lucky to be the only ones who booked the tour that day, me,my wife and my 6 years old son. The guides are very kind and explained a lot of things about the underground world.
The tour has a bit of an adventure touch and my son loved it. There are 2 zip lines and all sorts of obstacles which makes the little "Indiana Jones" come to life.

Properly a fantastic visit based on the other reviews, only problem is that their trip advisor profile provides none of the information you need.. in short: you need to reserve a time slot but not sure where to do this (except at the location) and kids under 7 are not allowed.. (despite the other reviews mention kids age 4) all in all a real disappointment when driving along way to experience it

Dear Sirs, We are sorry that you feel this but on a tripadvisor website it is nice to say that because of the limited number of visitor visits you have to be booked, see what it says: About (Pazin cave is a natural speleological object with guides followed by a slight descent into the the canyon of the river bed is a 200 m long and it ends with a large hall and an underground lake, there are two small zip lines inside the speleological object that transfer visitors to a sandbar of the underground lake. Because of the limited number of visitors you need to book!) Unfortunately we were not able to provide more information because the number of words on tripadvisor is limited but because you have more information on our site, see: http://www.pazincave.com /, there also writes that reservation is obligatory, and when visitors contact us we get all the additional information about children, age, about people who can and do not they can consume this activity. Also on all other internet sites of tourist boards, on our website, you have our contacts on our facobook page where you can get all the additional information. It is a speleo adventure in a natural speleological object that carries certain situations that are not for everyone. When someone is trying to explain it to you, it would be correct for you to listen without arrogance and ultimately without revenge with such a review. Thank you for understanding! Went here with the Mrs and the fjord is absolutely stunning to cruise down. When at the cave it is impressive. Maximum time to spend here is an hour i would say tho. Small 1 euro charge.

Dear Scott, thank you very much for a nice review, but I have to make a correction, the price is 25,00 euros for adults and 20,00 euros for children and the visit takes 2.5 hours. Visit us again for a second visit we give a good discount and the third is free. Best regards from Pazin! Pazin cave manager Mladen Jekic
