This small island which houses a monastery, can be reached by boat - water taxi from Punat is only a couple of pounds each way. You can walk all around the island and there are lots of interesting plants which attract lots of wildlife
Short boat drive takes you to this beautiful small island with lots of things to see there. 2 small but very nice museums, for me the most impressive was money collection from all around the world and from different periods.

It's a great adventure to explore the whole island even with children under 6. The museum is not too big to be boring, but be careful with the "Cabinet of wonders" which contains real goat embryos in glass jars - definitely not for kids. :)...More
