Experience the magical Istria from the air. Paragliding Tandem flight in Motovun will take you over the magical old town. In a tandem you are able to fly without any previous experience. After a 15 min briefing you get to fly for 30 min with a highly trained instructor, which is the easiest and safest way to experience the thrill of paragliding. All you need are sporting shoes and a long sleeved jacket. Too easy.

Higly recommend Airie to do paragliding. He is the perfect pilot to guide you through this experience. Knowledgeable with his more then 8000 hours in the sky, assisted by his beautiful wife. He takes his time to explain everything. We felt completely safe during our flight.

Airie, of Istra Paragliding, was great. He waited for the wind to be sufficient and consistent to ensure that we had a fantastic flight. (A word of advice to others if your flight site is not Motovun town - it depends on the wind direction where you fly from- we recommend taking water and snacks in case you do have to wait.)
It was a wonderful flight and we loved the views out to the coast and over Inland Istria. We felt very safe and loved our experience! Thank you Airie!

My wife and I both booked a paragliding session with Airie and we had an amazing time. The view is great from the ground, but even better high up in the air!
Airie made the whole thing simple - explaining the process for take off, letting us know exactly what we had to do, and once in the air he was keen to explain how it all worked, answered all our questions, and offered advice on where else we should see in Istria. He made us both feel calm and relaxed, and it was an amazing feeling to climb higher into the air to see the beautiful views before swooping back down in a rush of adrenaline.
I don't have a problem with heights myself, but if you do I wouldn't let it put you off as the tandem seat is very comfortable yet sturdy, and quietly drifting along is very serene (the whole thing is so quiet that when you're standing on the ground you can hear the paragliders talking!).
The session lasted for 30-40 mins - it depends on the kind of wind you have when you're up - and added a fantastic bit of excitement in to our otherwise chilled out "wine in the sun" holiday. Airie takes a few pictures for you so you can have a souvenir of your experience, and as mentioned he is just generally fantastic - thanks very much! :)
One thing to note is that to get to the take off point it's roughly a 15min drive from the main road along a bumpy, winding dirt track (or at least it is when you're in a rental car which you're scared of damaging!) so make sure you leave enough time to get there.

My wife and I were very excited to do this based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, it did not go as planned.
It turned out that Airie did not strap my wife in properly to the paraglider. This caused her to slip almost fully out of it. Airie had to wrap his legs around her to keep her from falling to her death. After the flight, her arms were bruised and she had pinched a few nerves, not regaining feeling in her arms for several weeks.
He admitted that he made a huge mistake. I think he was way over-confident in his abilities. Perhaps this experience will cause him to be more careful in the future. He also said this is the second time this has happened to him, the first time being several years ago.
I hope that everyone understands that paragliding can be extremely dangerous, and no amount of positive reviews can change this.

Eventhough we had some troubles finding the place and got there with more than an hour of delay, Airie was able to fit us into his schedule. He was very friendly, calm and we felt very safe up in the air with him. We would recommend this to anyone, the views are amazing and the feeling up in the air- indescribable. It's totally worth it and we would love to come back some time for another flight with Airie!

Booked this way in advance because of how popular it was, and after the experience I realized why! This was truly one of the highs (literally) of the trip. I have a sky diving license and been in the air but this was truly a unique experience, different from what I have experienced before.
Airie was extremely accommodating in terms of our schedule and our timings. I stated that I definitely would like to be in the air with my partner at the same time so he managed to get Carlo (who was a national team paraglider) to take to the skies at the same time too. Both Airie and Carlo were extremely professional and we were not afraid for even the slightest moment throughout the trip.
The day we were supposed to take off from our original destination had strong winds, and Airie suggested another location (1.5hrs drive away) and he led us there the whole way through. This other location was well worth the trip!
At the end of the flight, Airie even helped us in a tight spot with a punctured tyre. This definitely shows how generous and kind Airie is and how he goes out of the way to make every guest feel at home and welcomed and at ease.
P.S His pictures and vidoes are amazing as well and definitely recommend it as an add-on to the trip. They are of good quality and will allow you to see how cool/silly/happy you look in the air.
Croatia just became a better tourist destination thanks to Airie and Carlo!

I just had the most fantastic and exciting experience with Airie. You immediately sense that he is very skilled and professional. I felt really safe and his instructions were clear and easy to follow.
This was my first time ever doing a tandem paragliding flight and I am very happy that I did this with Airie, Paragliding Tandem Istria. It was a fantastic feeling to glide in the air and I had a wonderful view of the landscape and the Adriatic Sea. I shall never forget this experience and I can definitely recommend Airie.

This was the most fun, exciting, amazing experience ever. I was a bit afraid to do it but am so glad I did. Thinking about it is way scarier than actually doing it. Sasha was great: He is skilled, reassuring, and a darn nice person. He really wants each of us to have a magnificent experience and I did. For a lifetime memory, glide with Sasha in Motovun.

A little bit disappointed it was not around Motovun village itself but It was still a great first experience paragliding! Feeling safe and free at the same time we loved it!

Is there a kennel to leave the dog if we both want to make an paraglide tour?

Our take offs are in nature and there's plenty of shade under trees for your dog. Also most places we land back on top of the hill, which means the turn around is quick and waiting time is minimal.
