If you're one for hiking then you're certainly going to be given an amazing view from this mountain. When we went it was far too hot to be considering any kind of hike but it was a wonderful thing to see from our apartment window.
We booked this safari from a recommendation from our friends. Wow...wow...wow...worth every penny( the price is 280 kuna per person October 2018). Our trip was by Land Rover jeep with our amazing and excellent driver, Mladen, who knows the road like the back of his...More
We rented scooters for a 4-hour-trip from Makarska to the highest top of Biokovo, Sveti Jure. Scooter is absolutely the easiest and funniest way to reach the top and the national park in general.
I know the videos from the narrow mountain roads are pure...More
We reached the top of the mountain by scooter. It went a little slow in some steep places, but we managed it. It is so worth visiting. The views are breathtaking. It was a little cold. The entrance costs 50 kn/pers, if with motorised vehicle.
This restaurant is located high up on the Biokovo mountain, it is ideal for an evening meal during daylight hours.
It is best reached by a 15-minute taxibus ride. The views are fantastic and the food and service are also good.

We took a tour by Exploro up the mountain. The road is very narrow and twisty and you are overlooking the edge of the road, which was a bit scary. Well worth it though, the views are amazing. We stopped half way up for photos...More
It is a 23km drive from the ticket office to the communication station and small church at the top of the hill. The road is very narrow in some places with vertiginous drops and is very twisty. The driving per se is not a problem...More
Me and my wife hiked up to Vosac peak then walked something about 2 km to paragliding spot and then walked down to botanic garden. It took us about 8 hours to complete the route, but it worthed every second.
And on the way back enjoy the sweetest descent on perfectly paved roads with the most stunning views. While the tall range makes for an early sunset, it seems to protect with a warm embrace the town and provide the most dramatic backdrop to the...More
This is the highest mountain on the Croatian part of the Adriatic coast, and Sv. Jure is its highest peak (1762m). In 1981 Biokovo was declared a Nature Park because of its extraordinary value, flora, fauna and beauty, on the area of around 195 square kilometres. Hiking on Biokovo, you will pass ancient villages on the foothills of the magnificent rocky mountain: Gornja Brela, Topici, Bast, Veliko Brdo, Makar, Kotisina, Gornji Tucepi, Gornja Podgora and Gornje Igrane on the seaward side,...More

Hiking from Zagvozd (Milići) to Peak of Biokovo Mountain (0 Replies)
The route to Biokovo hiking trail starts from Zagvozd, from a small part of village named Milići, just 3 km from the centre of Zagvozd. It's possible to park your car here, and begin the walk to the 2nd largest mountain in Croatia –Biokovo towards saint Jure peak (1762). Hike trail starts from Milići, the first label is placed on a wall of a garage and points at saint Jure’s peak. The beginning of a trail starts with a light climb through the thicket, small plants and local gardens and...More

Driving to Biokovo mountains (8 Replies)
Greetings guys In the upcoming may, i m planning to hire a car and visit Biokovo mountain and pass by Staza viewpoint and Sv. Jure . but I saw some reviews online saying that there are some dangerous snakes over there and that the road is very tiny ,dangerous, and that I have to do a lot of reversing to make space for upcoming cars to pass. So this made me think again of not going.. I actually drove before in some highlands but with better sized roads in Italy, Austria and Switzerland. ...More
