Churches

It's worth visiting the many churches in Makarska. On Sunday's the music is great. In the hills there are small churches, usually locked on week days, but they still have charm.

I lived in Makarska for 2-3 years, it is amazing, awsome, superb, nice town, friendly people and it feels like little Italian town, the sea is clean atthe beach as well as the water, and there is a very romantic nudist beach walking 40min on feet towards Tučepi. Nice to be there

Situated in the centre of the square, where after a busy morning you can spend some time reflecting on the time spent in Makardska, and thanking God for the beauty of this country

An area quite good to takea walk. The church is nothing special but the view with mountains behind is impressive.

Quiet square with a decent food market next to it. I shopped the clothing stalls rather than the stores and found great deals. Honey and olive oil is good at the market. Hemp products were also being sold just beyond the square, they grow and manufacture hemp in this country.

A pedestrianised area where concerts are held weekly. Climb the steps to the pretty Church. There was a choir practice being held when we were there.

Visited in the evening hours. Interior of the church is really nice and worth seeing. We were also lucky enough to witness a local choir rehearsal. An excellent experience!

St. Mark's Church is in a lovely situation on the town's main square,Kacic Square, and overlooked by the Biokovo Mountains. On the two occasions I visited it was very peaceful inside,an escape from the bustle of the town.
