Lace craft is featured & the building is attractive. I'm not sure the entry cost is really worth it. The huge sun dial on the facade of the building looks ancient & the statue of the prayerful friar is quite beautiful too.

We enjoyed the outside of the building and the statue of the monk in the small square outside. This is now a lace making museum so we had a look inside but didnt pay to go in as we thought it was a bit expensive for people not overly interested in lace. We did learn how delicate the lace is and it does look unique and detailed. Worth a visit.

Worth a stop to see the architecture or the church. Easy to find during your walks of the beautiful city.

I’m not a lace maker and could never be, but I always admire the craftsmanship of any artisan. In addition, this lace is s unique because it is not made from the traditional linen, but from the aloe leave of the agave plant, which seems impossible given the rigidity of the leaves. Several fine examples of the agave lace are on display along with paintings and other artwork. This is a small museum and probably will not require more than 20-30 minutes of your time. I've rated it a 3 for me, but I can understand how it may be much more interesting to others.

The cactus lace crafted by the enclosed mind is beautiful. Every item is different. Examples of this unique building may be purchsed. There are also furnishings, paintings and ecclesiastical items on display. The member of staff on duty was most helpful. The convent church is closed, but it is possible to look in through a grid. No wonder UNESCO recognises this unique product!
