stunning views of Hvar and the islands

A must visit when in Hvar. Top views from the fortress. There is a restaurant there too where you can have a meal or a drink.

Head up through the tiny streets off the main square of Hvar. It's a short 20 minute walk through these wonderful small streets up to the path and then up the mountain to the fortress. Once you are there you will see magnificent 360 degree views of the Palenki islands, Hvar and even the coves on the North side of... More

Amazing views!! Suggest going here for the sunset because it is stunning!! The drinks are a little high priced, but very nice and chilled out!

You could get there by car, but the simplest route is upsome 250 steps from the main square and then along a zig-zag path to the back. The view is splendid, the cafe/ bar is very good as are the toilets

We walked up to the Fortress from our hotel at the Hvar harbor. The walk was not a bad as we originally thought. It starts out with some steps but then switches to a comfortable path along the trees and plantings. It took about 20 minutes to walk while stopping for photos and sightseeing along the way. We are happy... More

The castle is most interesting for the views over Hvar town and the nearby islands. Not that much to see inside, but looking out is spectacular. The path from town winds up the hill and it's not for the unfit or faint hearted. The castle can be reached by car along a fairly typical steep and winding road and if... More

Since we were travelling with a three year old that understands where you want her to go 50% of the time, we decided to skip the hiking and drove up. We were rewarded with breathtaking views of the town and the nearby islands. It's a pretty safe place for the kid, and even the little one went "Wow!" when she... More

The GF and I visited the fortica and for 30KN it was well worth the visit with fantastic views of Hvar. It is however quite steep to get to up many steps to the entrance then a significant walk to the actual fortress. There is a road up so it might be advisable to get a taxi up to the... More

This is a beautiful place to go visit. We were the first ones there right when they opened and we were the only ones there the entire time. It was a quick visit, but offered gorgeous views of the city and water.

Fortress is not much, a view from it is worth of climbing for 20 minutes or more. There are walls, and some tower and a canon... Like any other stone structure... Not much of history facts there, so enjoy a view on marina and that amazing blue sea.
