This beach is gorgeous!! It feels like you're on a secret island. The walk down is a little bumpy so tennis shoes are best but was able to get down in flip flops, takes about 10 minutes. The beach is mostly small pebbles but I...More

Though by saying this, I’m probably not helping it stay secluded! Beautiful beach, close to Hvar town. We rented scooters and had a great day. Park at the top of the hill and walk down the goat track (10 mins) to the beach. Very simple...More

Visited today after reading reviews on TA about this place. Was not disappointed, clearly can see why this lovely place is number 1 and why people regard this as the best beach. Easy to get to, got the stari grad bus from hvar bus station...More

Favourite destination for many people. Easily to get by bus, if the driver doesn't forget to stop (16k from Stari Grad). Then 10 min stony walk down the hill. Beach is ok, some fish around the coast -snorkling is nice, but nothing special. A lot...More

Accessible on foot or by boat only, takes about 15 mins to get there from the main road. Recommended to get there before 11am otherwise parking could be a problem. Great little beach bar on the site!

Despite the 15 moins walk to go down to the sea, you will find a very nice rock beach with some old building on the side. Not the best, but a very nice beach in Hvar!

Had a very relaxing day sunbathing with a bit of swimming here. The house in the main picture was playing great relaxing music. Would recommend sea shoes as the rocks are slippery and it’s a pebble beach that you have to walk down from the...More

This was the nicest beach in Hvar, secluded, but still has good/ drink amenities! Hike down a hillside, but well worth it

It is truly gifted by nature and is one of the most beautiful places you will visit. The pictures dont do justice to the place. But unfortunately way too overpriced

Always get a private taxi or arrange a taxi from your accommodation. The taxi drivers at Hvar bus station charge 3 times the price to go anywhere....they really rip tourists off. Next to Hvar station are private taxi companies, which are fair and don’t rip...More

You can sail directly to the beach and dock your boat there. If its a big one you should use one of the main harbors - in Hvar Town, Sucuraj or Zavala and then take a taxi from there. Hvar Town is the nearest.

september accommodation (2 Replies)
My husband & I will be in Hvar for 3 nights -mid September this year. Im having trouble deciding on accommodation. If we stay in Hvar town we would ideally like a nice traditional style apartment / room within the old town. Otherwise does anyone know of a private apartment/rooms in Dubovica Bay? Hope someone can help:)

Water Taxis Hvar Town (2 Replies)
Can anyone tell me where the water taxis go to from Hvar town. Its been a while since I have been to Hvar, I know there are water taxis to the Pakleni Islands and I think Milna, but is there a water taxi to Dubovica. Also is it possible to go from Hvar to Jelsa by water taxi. Also can anyone advise the costs of the water taxis to various places, or do you know a website that has this info. thank you.

Dubovica beach - bus? (0 Replies)
We'd like to visit Hvar on a day trip from Split - we'll arrive by ferry to Stari Grad, catch a bus to Hvar town from the port and visit Dubovica beach on our way back to Stari Grad. I'm not sure which route the Hvar/Stari Grad bus takes but I'm assuming it takes the most direct one which also passes the beach. I was just wondering if this bus stops on the road above the beach? And another question above Dubovica-can you rent beach umbrellas there?
