We visited different parts of Pakleni islands on 3 different days and they are worth having a look at if you want to escape the busy town. The water taxi's cost 40 Kuna return and take a maximum of 30 minutes to get to the furthest island. There are no sandy beaches and you will have to pay between 30-50... More

You can not visit Hvar, Croatia without either renting a boat of your own or hoping on a taxi boat or taking a boat tour of pakleni islands!! I personally recommend renting your own boat so you have more freedom. You can take your time & visit as many or as few islands/ beaches as you wish. Renting a boat... More

This Island has some beautiful coffee bars located right on the beach. This place is just a short water taxi ride from Havr. Highly recommended for evening coffee / drinks.

Pakleni islands are a must for any trip to hvar - from the relaxing beach club at Carpe Diem, the great bays to swim in and the great restaurants on Palmizana

When in Hvar, we rented a speedboat and spent the day exploring the islands. Many bays and coves to explore - from quiet, isolated ones to busy ones packed with sailboats and yachts. We enjoyed Pelna, a small cove with sandy beach just east of Palmiziana Bay. Good for swimming and snorkeling.

We managed to hike each island quite thoroughly. The largest island Saint Klement has Roman Villa Rustica from 1st - 6th century. Amazing wide open and unprotected, we found it by hiking from Palmizana to Vlaka and around the back of the vineyard. Be sure to pick up a Pakleni Islands map at the tourist information office in Hvar. Taxi... More

Crossed over from Hvar to Mlini. Several beach restaurants but not enough sun loungers. Shade available from pine trees but you have to sit on rocks if you get there late. Pretty nevertheless.

Pakleni islands are very nice and have to be seen on a boat trip. They are mostly rocky but there are few nice beaches. In all the area the water is excellently clean. They are good for snorkeling too.

Very peaceful when you go on your own, moor up on any of the tiny quieter bays. Watch out for other people's wakes though! As it seems to get pretty busy in August understandably.

Generally, my advice for those who like to enjoy to swim a lot is to take a boat, park it between islands and swim off the boat. Wonderful!
