We rented a Smart car for one day from Antonio’s. After reading LOTS of reviews we decided to go with Antonio’s as they had many 5 star reviews. We were not disappointed and our expectations were massively exceeded. Here’s why:
1. They don’t try to upsell or force any additional products or insurance onto the customer. In fact, we actually had to ASK about taking out additional loss waiver insurance (which was very reasonable at 10 euros per day)
2. They don’t put a pre-payment on a credit card. They don’t even ask for a credit card! This was a massive bonus for me as I didn’t have to worry about hundred of £££ coming out of my account after we had left Hvar for unspecified “damages’ which still seems to be a routine scam of less scrupulous car rental companies.
3. The guys working in the office genuinely seem to want the customer to have a good time and see the best of Hvar. You can tell they are focused on customer service and providing the best, most stress free product.
Make sure you book with these guys in advance - for the day we wanted they only had the Smart car left. It was fine and reliable and only cost £6 in fuel for our whole day touring Hvar!
PS I recommend: the abandoned village of Malo Grablje, Vrboska for cute photos, Stari Grad for lunch and Maslinica beach for swimming (there was no-one else there!)

We wanted to hire a boat for the day to visit the surrounding islands of Hvar. We came across Antonio on google and sent him a message. He responded immediately and told us about the various boat options. We went the next morning and we hired a lovely little boat- Betina for 1000 kuna. It was 20HP which I would highly recommended. The speed of the boat was excellent and means you can sail quickly between the islands and see a lot more on your day. We had the best day out. There was a cool box on board so we could bring our own beer and wine and some lunch. We sailed around the islands, explored them and sunbathed on the boat. Such a wonderful day and highly recommend!

I was planning for last minute an afternoon trip to see some lavender fields around Hvar Island in June, 2021. I found Antonio's rental and contacted them. Jure was friendly and answered my questions over the phone regarding the various car options and price. The company listed the cars for rent along with the price on their website. I was able to secure the automatic car, which was B series by Mercedes. It was very clean and in a good condition. They even recommended some routes to take and small towns along the way! Their office location is very strategic and close to the bus station behind the Cathedral of the square of Hvar. I really recommend them and will go back for the next rental when I am in Hvar! Prepare to bring your passport and driver license, payment can be made with cash or card!

Antonio Rent did a fantastic job when my wife and I rented a convertible Volkswagen to tour Hvar island. They gave a thorough description of the booking process, how to operate the vehicle, and did an exceptional job of recommending highlights to visit along our trip. We got to see 95% of the islands within a day and really enjoyed the experience on the winding roads in a manual transmission convertible. I would highly recommend renting from this group again! It was the highlight of our trip to her bar!

We rented e-bikes for our one day self-guided tour of Hvar. The people at Antonio were very friendly and helpful. We biked all the way to Stari Grad, back along the coast after stopping for lunch, and up to the Hvar fort and the bikes performed heroically, easily handling the long steady climbs and big downhills.

We rented a car at Antonio Rent in Hvar town.
Everything was looking very professional and serious, but the employee helping us was very arrogant and stupid (do not tell him where you are from).
No problem with the rented car but I would not return there.

We hired E-bikes for the day. This business is very professional and very friendly. They have a very sleek set up. We were given lots of info. Lots of time. A google map to guide us. We both went out on a hot day, in steep and unknown territory, on some bendy roads and never felt isolated or unsafe, knowing they were just a phone call away. There are other hire places but so pleased we chose Antonio Rent as they were much friendlier, not pushy and exceptionally professional - Thank you.

We stayed at Vela Luka on Korcula island and decided to take a one day roundtrip to explore Hvar a bit. Looked for a reliable car rental place in Hvar city and AntonioRent looked promising. The staff is friendly, they offer an extra insurance that will not break your budget and the car we've chosen was in good shape. The only thing that would make us like this company better is if they would open sooner, as the only ferry from Vela Luka arrives very early in the morning (6:30). Well - we can't have everything. All-in-all good experience, would recommend.

Antonio was a really good guy. Organised, trustworthy and and to the point. We rented a lovely cabriolet and thought we were in heaven for a few days. When we got back to England we realised that was a delusion.

My partner and I rented a baby blue Fiat for the day to explore the island of Hvar. This day was a highlight of our trip. The day began with sitting down with Antonio who provided us with some tips and a map which he marked up to show us some "must see" places. Antonio was friendly and charismatic. You can tell he loves his island which is a plus when choosing a company to work with. The car we rented was clean with a full tank of gas. Toward the end of the day, we checked in with Antonio via Whatsapp to let him know our dinner was taking longer than expected. He was understanding and made it clear he just wanted us to have the best experience possible. We filled up the tank and dropped the car back where we originally had picked it up. The rental process could not have been easier. The price was very fair. If I return to Hvar one day I'd most certainly rent from Antonio again.
