The skipper and the guide were very kind, and the stops were wonderful. I recommend this tour. The blue cave was the most amazing- and the guide had us buy our tickets and then go to another cave to avoid waiting in the long line. We also enjoyed the lunch spot and Stiniva cove.

The 3 caves tour was excellent. Damir helped in booking and replied to my questions via e-mail within a few hours at the maximum. Everything was according to the plans on the tour, both the skipper and the tourguide were helpful, kind and friendly. They did their best to minimize the waiting time at the blue cave. The caves were really beautiful, definitely worth visiting. The speedbout ride from Split was exciting, the trip to Paklani islands was a perfect start of the day just as the short visit to Hvar towards the end. We were only 8 guests and my daughters (age 12 and 13) liked that a lot too. I surely recommend this tour to everyone who likes the beauties of nature.

Although I have not tried other tours, I can tell from what I have seen that this trip is unique and way better than any alternatives. Our skippers/guides were great, and they made sure that we had the best possible experience. They timed the trip perfectly so that there were little to no other tourist boats at the swimming spots (which were all amazing). They made it very clear that they think one of the spots was a tourist trap, so we did not have to spend unnecessary time and money to go in there. They went ahead and got our Blue Cave tickets while we were having lunch, and timed our arrival there perfectly, so we did not have to wait in line AT ALL (and I had heard that in other tours, you may wait for hours)!

All in all, amazing experience.

One minor note: The trip from/to Split is a bit bumpy when the sea is wavy and takes an hour or so. Hence, if you have back problems etc., would recommend beginning the tour from Hvar.

Blue Cave Tour –Ilirio's Hvar Tours– Three Caves Tour - Damir Caktas

I exchanged a number of emails with Damir from Ilirio’s Hvar Tours and all questions were answered quickly and promptly. On the day of the trip, we met the boat on the pier. Approx. 5-8 tours leave around the same time from the same pier, so you need to listen carefully for your name to be called, in order to not miss your tour. It seems to work out. The tour itself was excellent. There were plenty of opportunities to swim and we visited three islands. At the first island – Viz, I believe, we were dropped off at one side of the island, walked to the other side (short 5-8 minute walk) and had about 20 minutes to swim before being picked up by the boat. Note that there are restrooms on both sides of the island. We visited the outside of the Green Cave. We did not go inside, so I can’t comment on if it was green or not. We visited Monk Seal Cave where you can jump off the boat and swim in the cave. We visited the Blue Cave which was spectacular. We were dropped off, and again, there was another opportunity for a restroom break and then we had to purchase a ticket for another boat that took us into the blue cave. Our group went on the same boat and the guide explained the cave and slowly took us through and around the cave. The blue color was amazing. We stopped outside another cave where we could jump off the boat and swim underneath the wall to enter into the cave. I didn’t try it, but many on the boat did and said it was pretty simple – a short dunk down into the water to get into the cave. We stopped at another island for approx. an hour for those who wanted to eat lunch or swim in the water from the beach. We didn’t eat lunch and instead walked around the island, which was quite beautiful. Once back on the boat, it stopped again at, I think Stiniva, where one could again jump off the boat and swim to shore and then back again. It was quite beautiful and the water was clear. There were a lot of fish to see, too. Our last stop was at Hvar, which of course is a beautiful island and we had approx. 45 minutes to walk around Hvar. I think one could easily spend a few days here. After that, we headed back to Split which took approx. an hour, but we headed back as the sun was setting, which was quite pretty. You may want to wear a bathingsuit, because, as explained, there are quite a few opportunities to jump in the water. You should bring a towel and you may want to bring a warm jacket because even if the weather is warm/hot, it can get quite cool on a fast speedboat on the open water early in the morning and again late in the evening when the sun is setting.

We are so glad we choose Ilirio’s tours for our cave and beach tour of hvar and the surrounding islands. First, they are amazingly responsive and informative. Second, even after booking, they are incredibly conscientious. They contacted us to let us know that certain things might be closed because of winds and offered to move our tour earlier or later. Third, and most importantly, the tour was amazing. We had Antonio as a skipper and he was terrific. He tailored the tour to make sure that we didn’t run into to many crowds and took us to special spots unknown to other tour companies. We swam inside caves, discovered hidden beaches, and even did an under water cave dive. We had no fear because Antonio was right there swimming beside us! It’s clear that this company cares about you having a great experience!

We booked the 3 caves tour from Hvar and it was fantastic. The guide (Tony) and shipper were really friendly and funny. They explained a lot and wanted to make a really nice experience/adventure for us. We went to the highlights, but also to secret spots where there weren’t other people. We swam in a hidden cave where it was really dark, but when you looked under water you saw beautiful blue water where you swam with a lot of fish. This was even more beautiful than the blue cave and an unique experience. The shipper went with us in the water, even there he was a fantastic guide.
They had snorkels on board, but only the glasses. We had are own ones, with the air thing, so if you have these on your own, I would take it with you, but not necessary.
This is a really unique tour and we could really recommend it, it’s really worth your money!!

The three caves tour was amazing. We had a wonderful day with our guides and enjoyed all the places we've visited. The stops were great and the guides gave us the time to explore the water while scuba diving. They alsof recommended a great restaurant on an island where I had the best grilled octopus of my life!

We did the Three Caves Tour and it was absolutely mind-blowing! The cost was extremely generous for all the activities and sites you get to see, and so much cheaper than the tours you can book at the harbour. We were being chased by a storm but Tony and Roko our tour guides were fantastic and took us safely to the places they knew we could see. We saw several islands, swam in different caves and had snorkel masks provided. The speedboat was also really great fun to ride around in. There was also a secret underwater cave that the founder Damir discovered over 10 years ago where no other companies know about. Overall, the best day I had in Croatia, would 100% recommend. Thanks to the tour guides for the most amazing day!

It was an amazing experience, we did trip with Antonio and Jere and it was small group on speed boat, so we didn’t have to wait for long etc.

We visited every place mentioned on tour and even some hidden beaches etc. Beach in Stiniva just blowed our minds, I have seen such beautiful beach twice in my mind, one was Kelebeklet Vadisi jn Turkey Fethiye and the second one was this in Stiniva.
We also noticed couple of dolphins when we were going back and guys stopped boat to take a look. Thank you very much guys for such experience, interesting facts and fun, I can definitely recommend it to anyone.

The only thing I can recommend for people wanting to book a place eat something in the morning, it was first time for me to ride with speed boat and for the first hour it was cold and very uncomfortable. But then you just got used and start to get fun.
Also it would be nice to spend more time in Hvar like 1 or 2 hours, 30 min isn’t enough at all.

We spent the day with Damir and Toni. The whole experience was a gem in the heart of Split. Both Damir and Toni were both really caring, accomodating and considerate. Damir is really passionate by what he does and we felt it during the whole day. He was really engaging and proposed us a lot of activities and places to see, far away from the others boats/tourists, which is hard to find in Split! Thanks Damir and Toni 😊
