    Drinks with a view
    We visited for a quick drink while in Hvar and would certainly visit again when in the area. Really nice decor, relaxed seating and friendly staff. Not to mention a great view on the Hvar port to stop and chill.

    Chilled and delicuous
    Chic bar and perfect setting for a quick bite before getting the ferry back to split. The brunch was delicious, iced coffee was too weak but added an extra shot of espresso to make it less milky. Staff were friendly and it was clean and tidy. Food prices were very reasonable. Check the menu before you order a glass of fizz....

    Trendy bar, great place to spend the day. Located on an island in front of Hvar.
    We spent the day here. The atmosphere was great. We booked a sunbed and had a superb day. The bar has its own private beach. It is open from 11:00 a.m. until 10 p.m. The beachside closes at 7 p.m., and you can then move to the bar and have great Sushi and wine or anything you wish. There are taxi boats operating every hour from the main port in Hvar and taking you to this bar. Worth the extra effort!

Best Night in Croatia

We went a few times at night with a group of friends to Carpe Diem. The staff go out of their way to show you a good time. A special thanks to Dora for always taking care of us! She always had the perfect table reserved for us, and took care of our private boat taxi to the Carpe Diem location open until sunrise on a smaller island (such a cool experience)! The DJs are amazing at both locations, we always enjoyed the music and vibes. The location open later had an awesome dance floor, but we loved the VIP area beside the stage for a great view of the crowd and dancers, as well as comfy seating. If you’re looking for a fun night out, this is the place to be!

Awful customer service. Waiters who think they’re superior to the customers

My fiancée and I arrived at the entrance and didn’t even ask for a table because we know how these bars and nightclubs work. But the host itself told us that all the tables were reserved but that we should seat at one of them and when te “owners” arrived he’d ask us to move and so we did. When we were looking at the drinks menu, one of the waiters approached us with an extremely rude attitude saying that the table was reserved and asking if we had a reservation. 1st of all, he didn’t even know if we had a reservation or not and started acting as if we were stealing something. Also, at the most of the tables were empty because it was around 10pm, why would someone treat its customers like trash instead of just asking them to leave the table? Not everyone’s going to buy theirs €100.000,00 champagne bottle but it doesn’t mean we’re not paying for our drinks too.

Under the Stars in Hvar

A half indoor, half outdoor open air venue right in the center of Hvar, this bar has been the source of many incredible memories over my years of visiting this magical island. Table service and a bar area coupled with performances every so often (in 2022 an electronic violinist played to the tune of Coldplay) have made this my favorite venue in Hvar. There is nothing better than being outside under the stars with a bit of party on vacation mode, am I right? And one of the main reasons a large group of us come back every year is due to the host Dora, who always takes care of us coordinating our reservations and special events at Carpe Diem Bar (birthday surprises, anniversaries, etc).

Would avoid, very poor service

I would not recommend the Carpe Diem bar to anyone visiting Hvar. Myself and a friend visited one a week day night, the bar was quite empty and the host who greeted us told us to pick any table we liked to sit at, we obliged and chose a table but were quickly told to move to another table by another member of staff that this table was reserved. Like previous reviews mention there was a large number of reversed but empty tables which were seemingly reserved for no reason. Service was slow enough and the drinks were fine, nothing special. When we went to pay in cash however the waitress tried to refuse to give us change in order to take a 50% tip for herself, we asked her for our change and said we would leave a tip for her as we were leaving however this was obviously not good enough and she huffed and puffed before walking away without giving us half of our change.

There are so many lovely bars and restaurants in Hvar with such lovely staff I wouldn’t waste your time and money in this establishment.

Been to this location in 2019 and 2018 and Im in love with this place ! Building by itself looks amazing. Those palm trees , sunsets in Hvar. Crowd is trendy and classy. I really loved the vibe. Security at the door , carpet at the entrance. It has that glamour that me and my family and my friends loved. Cocktails were made with love. My favorite two bartenders always suprise me with some great long drinks. Hi Joe :)
I've heard in Marbella, Spain that our favorite manager Phillip moved back to Croatia and that he will be in charge of Carpe Diem. Cant wait to come again this year. Get those drinks on ice for us please.

ABSOLUTELY DON’T GOO WAIST OF MONEY AND EVENING

This Place where you pay 400Kuna entrance, like 60 euro, is absolutely not worth going.

Firstly you’re waiting in line for 2 hours. When you want to order like a Barcardi cola or even double bacardi cola you get fake bacardi which just tastes like cola and you’re paying almost 15 euro per drink. Its absolutely ridiculous.

Really fun bar with amazing atmosphere, stevie and vibes. Always play great tunes and Dora (the hostess) looked after us amazingly for the many nights we visited carpe diem. We can’t wait to go back in 2023!

Great bar on an amazing little island!

Came here in the day for cocktails & lunch. Everything was clean & service was great. We thought it was going to be very overpriced given its reputation but we thought the whole menu was very good value! Meal arrived quickly, was fresh, tasty & staff were very friendly. Toilets were clean & well maintained. Decor was tastful & modern with good music! Would return.

We were given a tonic (which costed about 5€) that was full til the middle, and when we just asked about it, they were really rude and tell us they will check the security camera. they finally chaged it but they didn’t apologised at all. Furthermore it wasn’t possible to pay with card. It seems they don’t want tourists.

If you come to Hvar and don’t visit Carpe Diem Bar - did you really come to Hvar? It’s the perfect bar/club atmosphere - everyone is there for a good time. The service, drinks, cocktails, hookah were outstanding. Our host, she was phenomenal, always taking care of us and grabbing us a table even at the busiest night. When we had a table, Ivan really took care of us. The good times were amazing but we really kept coming back for the amazing care & service we received. Thank you for the great memories!
