Took a easy bus ride to this gorgeous coastal town that's only a quick 30 minutes south of Dubrovnik. You can purchase tickets from the bus driver or there is also a ticket booth at the bus stop which is directly adjacent to where you board the cable car. We absolutely loved Dubrovnik, but it can certainly get a bit... More

Caveat is a picturesque small harbour that offers a relaxed reprieve from the hussle of Dubrovnik. Lots a restaurants to choose from, and luxury launches to admire. Lovely rocky beaches, but no life guards anywhere. My kids enjoyed the aqua trampoline park in the next bay.

Charming old town that isn't too busy during the daytime, but is hustle-bustle at night. Make sure you take a slow walk and stop for lots of pictures of the water and the side streets. Some excellent hand-crafted souvenirs to be had from the shops too.

Amazing place with lots of cafe bars and beautiful restaurants. Lots of amazing yachts sail in on a daily basis. Lots of boutiques selling jewelry, bags, clothes and household items. You can eat out for as little as expensive as you like as there is lots of choice. We loved it!

We first visited Cavtat eight years ago, by boat from Dubrovnik, and were enchanted by the place. It felt like the South of France! Things have changed a bit; it is more developed, with a marina welcoming some large 'gin palaces' - just like the South of France! The variety of restaurants remain excellent however, and the town is a... More

We walked into the town at night to see all the sites and visiting ships , the bars and restaurants where amazing the town is very busy and the bars are buzzing but in a relaxed way . No mad music or discos about all very calm and relaxing . The local people are beautiful and so helpful

Cavtat and the drive from Dubrovnik are both lovely. The place is small and reasonably friendly. Shopping and places to eat are OK. Worth a visit.
