We stayed in a nearby hotel and so regularly went into the town to have a wander. Although we didn't find much to do (apart from the bars/restaurant on the waterfront), the buildings were absolutely beautiful!

Cavtat is a nice small town on the Adriatic coast, south to Dubrovnik. In order to get there from Dubrovnik take bus no. 10 from the main bus station at Gruze port. it cost 25 kn. one way and takes about 30 min. Get off the bus at it's last station.there is an information office were we got Cavtat's map and... More

We are huge Games of Thrones fans and this was the main driver of our vacation in Croatia. However we are also traveling with 4 kids so we need to have a balance of how to make the kids happy and the adults to be happy for Games of Thrones. We chose Cavtat and stayed in rental home since we... More

We walked up the steps from st Nicholas church and wandered off the beaten track. Found the cemetery and walked around as the town was not busy. It was November and a Sunday so the season had come to an end but still a nice stroll around. Not a lot to do here at this time of year

Cavat is a lovely small town to explore on foot, you find you way down narrow streets into nice squares with a variety of local shops and coffee bars.

A quant and town with a nice range of bars and restaurants. A perfect location to base yourself when visiting Dubrovnik via a boat trip from the local harbour. A variety of accommodation suitable for all budgets is available. Montenegro is also a short trip away.

Cavtat itself is beautiful, to walk along the seafront is wonderful. To see all the large boats that are in against the spectacular scenery is unreal. The whole place is charmed with quaint restaurants, churches and welcoming people. It is so peaceful, sit on a bench and watch the world go by.

After a week in old town Dubrovnik, we booked a couple nights at a Cavtat B&B for some down time. The pace here in November is about 90% reduced compared to Dubrovnik - no tourist throngs, no taxi line-ups, no busloads trampling everything in their path. There isn't much to see, compared to the larger historic downtown areas of Dubrovnik,... More
