Lots to do but doesn't look at good as the photos!

The beach is packed and looks like any beach really, you don't get that tropical look of the arial shots from the ground. Many people set up camp in the pine forest and we thought... read more

Perhaps my expectations were to high, but Zlatni Rat could not live up to my expectations and was not so nice as the thousands of pictures I had seen. We stayed at Supetar (much better than Bol actually) and make a day trip to visit Zlatni Rat. Average beach, nothing too special once you are on it. Crystal water, but... More

Crowded but a nice experience. One of the places you should see if you've been on the Brac island. Clear and cold water, nice to cool down from the heat.

The beach is packed and looks like any beach really, you don't get that tropical look of the arial shots from the ground. Many people set up camp in the pine forest and we thought this was actually better than the beach. There is so much to do at the beach such as parasailing, hiring boats, inflatable water park, water... More

Very busy beach with sea views around it. Sun loungers to hire on one side and lots of healthy food and drink options to buy shady area in trees. Very windy. Walk down through tree area from paid parking. Not very far from nice town of Bol with white stone buildings and good restaurants.

Really stunning beach. My advice would be to get there as early as possible as it gets busy towards the afternoon. Welcoming bars and many outlets for food. I would say the adventure area is a bit pricey, but all in all a very nice place and will visit again.

We had heard about this fantastic beach and our hopes were set quite high, unfortunately. To begin with the boat trip from Brela, where we were staying, took almost bouble the estimated time, not to blaim the beach for that, but stil. The beach is nice no dobt about it but not close to what was told about it. Windy,... More

Natural crow of Adriatic sea where you can easily rest and accommodate yourself. Surrounded by shades of turquois and green colours, you can be assured that your trip will be rewarded in the long term with renewed energy of the sea, pine trees, magic beach and Mediterranean mountain Vidova gora.

My friend I were advised to go to Brac Island to the famous Zlatni Rat beach by a local guide as we hadn't heard about this place before. I should say that it really is worth visiting. The scenery is breath-taking. Ideally it's better to come in the morning as there won't be that many people on the beach. Some... More

This beach looks great in all the pictures, obvioulsy taken early in the morning or during the winter! The reality is that his is a very popular beach and very crowded. The beach itself consists of pebbles which are uncomfortable to lie on or walk on, so it's worth buying a padded mat (available from the promenade shops) if you... More
