- C UOttawa, Kansas16 contributionsOn its way back! Give it a visit! As explained on their website, HIstria Aromatica has been closed for 4 years. We were there on June 3, which I believe was their first day open to the public. It is evident that the place needs a lot of work, but it is under excellent management now and has great prospects for a bright future. In addition to the many herbs, spices, fruits, and vegetables being cultivated, HA has a wonderful restaurant and a shop where they sell the natural products for home, health, and skin that they produce. The views of the Adriatic are stunning as well.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 5, 2024
- Judi Z1 contributionTruly Unique Experience with Beautiful SceneryA “must-see” - it’s a magical combination of nature and architectural beauty on the perfect site, and a truly different all-sensory experience if you seek some peace and quiet. The cheerful staff is knowledgeable, and the Aromatica natural products make great souvenirs. The restaurant offers farm-to-table handcrafted meals – a very welcome distinction from typical tourist menus. We had a grilled fish steak with tomato rižot, a chilled local wine, and dessert cake – all very tasty! Dining or cocktails on the terrace provide a stunning view of Rovinj and the Adriatic. And don’t miss the special fig tree – it provides a refreshing refuge, but it’s the secret below that’s really intriguing…Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 22, 2024
- an.eickAmsterdam, The Netherlands2 contributionsThis location is beyond beautiful! If you want to see beautiful nature, plants and herbs and a spectacular ocean view above Rovinj - this is a must see in Croatia. Besides beautiful walkways you’ll find a lovely shop and a fantastic restaurant. The shop offers a variety of natural products such as candles, oils, soaps and beauty products. We received an explanation of all of them and were able to test the products. The owners are very welcoming and offer explanations in different languages. After exploring the area you can enjoy homemade food and drinks or coffee while enjoying the sunset on the great terrace. The stuff was very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely afternoon at Histria Aromatica and will definitely come back!Visited September 2024Traveled with friendsWritten September 18, 2024

Extensive park with lavender and spice fields in an exceptionally beautiful location with a view over the countryside to the sea.
In a small shop you have the opportunity to purchase exquisite organic products made from the plants growing there.
If you wish, you can book a free guided tour there, where you can hear interesting stories about the different plants and how they are processed.
In the attached restaurant
with local cuisine, we had a fantastic dinner at moderate prices and were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset. The service was extremely attentive and friendly.

The park invites you to a relaxing tour among flowers and herbs. A short break in the lavender in the deckchair with delicious homemade iced tea- fantastic! Nikolina is super nice and her tip with the painting class (with delicious food from the restaurant) was fantastic and fun for the whole family.

The location with views is breathtaking. We were warmly welcomed and shown around. It was very informative, also regarding the wonderful homemade products. A very special highlight was the delicious Istrian food in the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was our last night before going home, otherwise we would have repeated this. We will definitely come back!

Simply WOW!
A property like from another world. Simply beautiful. The view from the hill is very beautiful. The restaurant was open and we ate very good Croatian/Istrian food. The lady of the house, Nikolina, was very friendly and gave us a tour of the property afterwards.

Beautiful location on a hill with a sea view all the way to Rovinj. Great service and very ambitious when it comes to organic herb cultivation and processing. The event evenings are an insider tip. We spontaneously attended a really great painting course.

I visited this attraction and was overwhelmed with the beauty and serenity of the area.
There's a wonderful shop with top quality products made from the herbs in the gardens. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

A park created by the owner of Aromatica company, which produces cosmetics and health care items. A wondeful idea and a project for his heart I would say, and a great park. 25 hectares to walk around and admire all the herbs, a vineyard, an olive orchard and fruit trees orchard all in terraces, divided by dry stack stone walls. There is fig tree growing from a natural cave and you can descend by stairs to the roots for some 3 - 4 meters. The lady at the reception was very kind and nice, and since we were the only visitors at the moment, she took time to google various plants, as my wife is a biologist and the two ladies discused the local, slovenian and latin names of the plants. The shop offers a lot of articles and we bought some body oils, shower gel and scented oil burners. There is a museum, but appears unfinished. My wife helped me with plants and all the laboratory items exposed in it, but if she was not a biologist, I would just run through in a couple of minutes. The restaurant was closed unfortunatelly, so we couldn't get a cold drink or a coffee. A lunch there would be nice too. Anyhow, the place has some special vibes and great potential. I hope they will develope all of it!

On advice from friends, we decided to visit this place. Initially harder to find as the navigation did not recognize the address but absolutely an amazing location. Arrival over gravel roads, through a fancy gate, past a empty guardhouse and through a lane with trees on the side you find a beautiful building on top of the hill.
We were the only visitors on a Sat in Aug !?.
A very friendly welcome by the lady managing the park. We paid a fee and she gave explanation on the park where we could wander freely with the help of a map. Wineyards, olive trees and a selection of herbs was growing on the sides of the hill. The restaurant was closed but the shop with herbs, tea etc was open for business.
A truly fantastic view aw well on the coast and Rovinij.
We did not wander around long as it was well above 35 degrees.
It is a nice experience if this garden and herbs is of your interest.
It has so much more potential in our opinion.
