I visited this attraction and was overwhelmed with the beauty and serenity of the area.
There's a wonderful shop with top quality products made from the herbs in the gardens. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

We could have stayed all day. The smell of the herbs as you walked around this stunning place were just evident everywhere. The staff were so friendly, everyone working in the grounds harvesting, pruning or whatever they were doing stopped and waved or tried to welcome us even if they spoke no English ( and why should they) The young lady in the shop was so informative about everything, the waiter was so lovely, the owner who could speak nothing but Croatian chatted with the help of the waiter, and the chef, what can I say about him! We had the most delicious hand made pasta with Pancetta and Sage. I don't really eat pasta as it is boring but this was amazing. The herbs are so full of flavour. We followed this with pancakes with ice cream inside with forest fruits. The menu is very simple but so tasty and all home made. Even the vinegar, made by them was delicious. If you have no interest in the gardens, the beautiful cosmetic products, massage oils etc then just go for a coffee, a beer or a meal. and sit and admire the most modern building in a very traditional Croatian stone and look across the terrace to the sea and views of Rovinj .You will be welcomed just as we were.We cannot praise the beauty of this place enough.

We called here as part of a tour around Istria. We were disappointed that the lunch on our tour was at the Limfjord as we would have liked to have eaten here. It was very interesting to hear about all the plants and to see the cave that had been used to keep food cold prior to refrigeration. The building at the top that serves as an educational centre, the offices and the restaurant is very week designed and has been nominated for awards. We bought some massage oil at the shop but have yet to try it. The person showing us around was very knowledgeable and explained everything to us.

This is a beautiful park about 15 minutes drive from Rovinj. It had been lovingly created using local stone and aromatic plants. It's great to walk round and appreciate the views from its elevated position.

Why so expensive? 75 Kuna per Person to see some big fields of just the same plants. (The plants the company needs for their products) its nice, but for this price it has to be very nice. The view is great. The restaurantservice is friendly but very slowly, you just have to wait for the cook himself if you want to have a piece of cake and so the cafe was cold until the piece of cake arrives us. Perhaps ten guests were in the restaurant. So we are disappointed.

I came to visit the restaurant because I heard it was a great place to eat with a wonderful view....have to admit I was really disappointed when a man at the entrance told me I couldn't go up the hill with my car because there was no parking space (I heard there was)-even though I told him I would like to just have a view of the place and not hang around, just for a few minutes.
I would like to visit again but I'm really not sure if I could get in again...

the minute you get out of the car you can smell the lavender!! Quite a long walk up hill to get to the park but that's why you get the view which is well worth it. You have a 360 degree view. You can see the brijuni islands along with many others from the restaurant area. There's a nicely stocked gift shop and a lady who gives you information about the distillation of the different essential oils they prepare. Don't go if you have a phobia of bees lol

After visiting Pula in the morning we drove to PHA.
Upon arrival, a person at the gate showed us where to park and sold us 3 tickets (for the women only) and we promised to buy something in the shop.
First thing we did was have some lunch in the restaurant. Since it was quite hot outside we decided to eat inside.
Unfortunately, right after we sat down a large group of students (?) came in as well and they pre-ordered their lunch so, with a small kitchen, our waiting time was too long.
When the lunch was served, the food was of good taste and of good portion sizes.
We even had some room and time left for dessert.
After this we visited the shop and bought some souvenirs.
One the grounds there is this old tree that has grown out of an old well. With stairs you can go inside the well were you can see the whole tree and enjoy some shadow and cool air.

A park created by the owner of Aromatica company, which produces cosmetics and health care items. A wondeful idea and a project for his heart I would say, and a great park. 25 hectares to walk around and admire all the herbs, a vineyard, an olive orchard and fruit trees orchard all in terraces, divided by dry stack stone walls. There is fig tree growing from a natural cave and you can descend by stairs to the roots for some 3 - 4 meters. The lady at the reception was very kind and nice, and since we were the only visitors at the moment, she took time to google various plants, as my wife is a biologist and the two ladies discused the local, slovenian and latin names of the plants. The shop offers a lot of articles and we bought some body oils, shower gel and scented oil burners. There is a museum, but appears unfinished. My wife helped me with plants and all the laboratory items exposed in it, but if she was not a biologist, I would just run through in a couple of minutes. The restaurant was closed unfortunatelly, so we couldn't get a cold drink or a coffee. A lunch there would be nice too. Anyhow, the place has some special vibes and great potential. I hope they will develope all of it!
