A park where you can admire all the local herbs and plants, used in cuisine, health and cosmetics.
Sep 2018 • Couples
A park created by the owner of Aromatica company, which produces cosmetics and health care items. A wondeful idea and a project for his heart I would say, and a great park. 25 hectares to walk around and admire all the herbs, a vineyard, an olive orchard and fruit trees orchard all in terraces, divided by dry stack stone walls. There is fig tree growing from a natural cave and you can descend by stairs to the roots for some 3 - 4 meters. The lady at the reception was very kind and nice, and since we were the only visitors at the moment, she took time to google various plants, as my wife is a biologist and the two ladies discused the local, slovenian and latin names of the plants. The shop offers a lot of articles and we bought some body oils, shower gel and scented oil burners. There is a museum, but appears unfinished. My wife helped me with plants and all the laboratory items exposed in it, but if she was not a biologist, I would just run through in a couple of minutes. The restaurant was closed unfortunatelly, so we couldn't get a cold drink or a coffee. A lunch there would be nice too. Anyhow, the place has some special vibes and great potential. I hope they will develope all of it!

Fantastic location with so much potential
Aug 2018 • Family
On advice from friends, we decided to visit this place. Initially harder to find as the navigation did not recognize the address but absolutely an amazing location. Arrival over gravel roads, through a fancy gate, past a empty guardhouse and through a lane with trees on the side you find a beautiful building on top of the hill.
We were the only visitors on a Sat in Aug !?.
A very friendly welcome by the lady managing the park. We paid a fee and she gave explanation on the park where we could wander freely with the help of a map. Wineyards, olive trees and a selection of herbs was growing on the sides of the hill. The restaurant was closed but the shop with herbs, tea etc was open for business.
A truly fantastic view aw well on the coast and Rovinij.
We did not wander around long as it was well above 35 degrees.
It is a nice experience if this garden and herbs is of your interest.
It has so much more potential in our opinion.

Something Different
Jun 2018 • Couples
A lover of Lavender we went to visit this attraction - not quite sure why they don't allow cars to drive the long uphill path as there seems to be plenty space to park near the architecturally astonishing modern building that awaits
Not being botanists perhaps we couldn't appreciate all and in the heat we didn't manage to get round very much, but did enjoy the ancient yew and of course seas of lavender.
The shop is spacious with some lovely costly products in keeping with the £20 entry fee for two. Interesting though astounding.

Disappointed because resto not open
Jun 2018
Opens at 10:00. But, Restaurant not open because of harvest problems in bio garden. Museum with only a few items. Shop with a few items. Great architectural construction. Beautiful flowers with a lit of insects. Great views. Beautiful entry gate.

A nice find and off the normal tourist trail. Spent a pleasant hour or so wandering the fields of lavender and other plants, plus the olive groves. Certainly not a full day activity, and can't comment on the food as didn't eat there, but a good shop and lovely experience.

We are familiar with Istria very much so having holidaiyed there (@Glavani Park) for the past 12 years. We drove there from the UK for the last 5 years.
We werent familiar with this attraction but it was recommended by our hosts.
After a look round Bale (cos you've got to) we travelled a short distance North to Golas (pronounced Golash) and this park is nearby, well signposted from the main road on minor roads.
The park is at the top of a hill and, because there weren't many visitors we were directed to the disabled car park next to the building. The climb from the able-bodied car park isn't too onerous.
We had a simple lunch of home made vegetable soup (delicious) made from veg. grown on site, with home baked bread and the inevitable glass of vino.
The menu is small but the choice is varied and appears reasonably priced.
The restaurant is modern and spacious plus it has an outside dining area
We were treated to a guided tour of the laboratory/ history with an exit through the gift shop which is well stocked with essential oils, soaps etc.
Because we were late in the season there weren't a lot of plants in flower but the scale of the park adequately demonstrated to us the potential.
Thoroughly recommend a visit, but earlier in the season..

the minute you get out of the car you can smell the lavender!! Quite a long walk up hill to get to the park but that's why you get the view which is well worth it. You have a 360 degree view. You can see the brijuni islands along with many others from the restaurant area. There's a nicely stocked gift shop and a lady who gives you information about the distillation of the different essential oils they prepare. Don't go if you have a phobia of bees lol

Magnificent view, nice food and hot
Jul 2017 • Family
After visiting Pula in the morning we drove to PHA.
Upon arrival, a person at the gate showed us where to park and sold us 3 tickets (for the women only) and we promised to buy something in the shop.
First thing we did was have some lunch in the restaurant. Since it was quite hot outside we decided to eat inside.
Unfortunately, right after we sat down a large group of students (?) came in as well and they pre-ordered their lunch so, with a small kitchen, our waiting time was too long.
When the lunch was served, the food was of good taste and of good portion sizes.
We even had some room and time left for dessert.
After this we visited the shop and bought some souvenirs.
One the grounds there is this old tree that has grown out of an old well. With stairs you can go inside the well were you can see the whole tree and enjoy some shadow and cool air.

Nice little trip to a very well kept park like herb farm
Jul 2017 • Family
Nice little trip to a very well kept park like herb farm. Nice an helpful staff, people seemed to be really involved into this community-like project.
We came a bit to late on the season. The nice scenting plants ( lavender et al) were allready harvested
Still worth a little sidetrip with good views of the coastline in typical surrounding.

A Sensory Delight
Jun 2017 • Couples
We could have stayed all day. The smell of the herbs as you walked around this stunning place were just evident everywhere. The staff were so friendly, everyone working in the grounds harvesting, pruning or whatever they were doing stopped and waved or tried to welcome us even if they spoke no English ( and why should they) The young lady in the shop was so informative about everything, the waiter was so lovely, the owner who could speak nothing but Croatian chatted with the help of the waiter, and the chef, what can I say about him! We had the most delicious hand made pasta with Pancetta and Sage. I don't really eat pasta as it is boring but this was amazing. The herbs are so full of flavour. We followed this with pancakes with ice cream inside with forest fruits. The menu is very simple but so tasty and all home made. Even the vinegar, made by them was delicious. If you have no interest in the gardens, the beautiful cosmetic products, massage oils etc then just go for a coffee, a beer or a meal. and sit and admire the most modern building in a very traditional Croatian stone and look across the terrace to the sea and views of Rovinj .You will be welcomed just as we were.We cannot praise the beauty of this place enough.
