Jolie arranged a very special 5 day trip to Linhai for me. She opened my eyes to Qigong, Yoga, Buddhism, Taoism and the incredible ancient city of Linhai. An amazing, authentic and healing adventure I'll always cherish.

Jolie arranged a very special trip for us, from bustling city life to calm down in a small village. Enjoyed different meditations and experiences- all with great friends of her. There is no precise timetable for each day so make sure you don’t await a completely planned day.

After much internet searching we decided on Jolie Adventures to guide us through Yunnan. What a great experience! We chose the Honeymoon Trip (well past the honeymoon stage!) and Jolie happily accommodated our 9 year old Chinese daughter into her trip planning. Our guide Mu was amazing. He seemed to know everybody in all the small villages we visited, was able to locate beautiful guesthouses and excellent food, and was able to explain to locals why 2 westerners have an adopted Chinese daughter. Because of Mu's experience and expertise, our trip ran smoothly and we got to see Yunnan without worry or strife. Additionally, our daughter Julia felt very comfortable with Mu and developed a keen friendship with this fine man. We were fortunate to be able to meet Jolie in Dali after our trek and spent a lovely time with her learning about her life and adventures and her motivation to start her own trekking company. Couldn't be happier with Jolie Adventures! Highly recommended!

Many thanks for your great job show me all around your beautiful places which is very important to see after stone forest in Yunnan Province. I had headed there to see more about chinese culture and tradition with scenic view in country side hiking and trek too. when i was there julie guided me according her itinerary lovely tour. I really enjoy yulong snow mountain and such a nice area lijian and dali. Most part is that every morning jolie treat me nice chinese tea , when i wake up open my tent zip and see beautiful mountains and enjoy with my pictures. During the Tiger leaping george i feel so great just passed by simple village Haba. during my trip with other travelers there is no thing complain all tour was run by excellent service.Definitely i will recommend more tour lover in this area for amazing memorable in china.

Jolie Adventure is a small but professional tour operator in Yunnan. I “found” Jolie via the internet and the company philosophy appealed to me. I booked an individual tour with a very special itinerary, as I am specifically interested in the old Burma road and everything else reminding of WW II as well as old bridges. They arranged accommodation according to my requirements, a car, a driver and a guide and Jolie herself accompanied me even at the first couple of days. They went to great length to accommodate my plans. And my trip was spectacular and very enjoyable. Therefore I can fully recommend Jolie Adventure for every one who needs a special program in Yunnan.

I highly recommend the JolieAdventure.
Jolie facilitated my discovery of the “real” China. We hiked deep into country where wheeled vehicles did not travel. With Jolie translating, I was able to talk to workers, farmers and homemakers. We had lunch with a goatherd and his family in a home that was made from small poles a little like an American Indian teepee.
When we weren’t talking to the local people, Jolie was able to answer almost any question and she made good company on the long hikes that we took. We hiked through hills and mountains and saw many beautiful wilderness sights. It was an adventure that I will always remember.

Trekking with a local, Chinese guide is difficult in Yunnan China, so we were very lucky to find Jolie, a promising young guide who took us up the slopes of Yulong Snow Mountain. She knows the area, the farming families and takes you through terrific scenery. Really off the beaten track, hardly any other tourists (only some Chinese on horseback). Eating local food and camping in the villages that you pass so it's not recommended for first class travellers. But definitely our highlight of our trip!

I highly recommend a retreat with Jolie to everyone who is searching for an authentic experience in the mountains of Yunnan and who wants to reset and really slow down. It is a place to heal from all the stress and hectic we meet in today´s society. Jolie is a very lovely, knowledgeable and adventurous woman. Thanks again, Jolie, for this memorable experience!
I booked a three-days-yoga-retreat in Wenhai-Lake near Lijiang, Yunnan, China with Jolie Adventure. During that time there weren´t any other guests, so that Jolie tailor-made my trip based on my wished and needs.
We did a mix of yoga practices, including different asanas, chakra-dance, the Five Tibetan Rites, meditation and pranayama. Furthermore Jolie shared her knowledge about e.g. yoga and Chinese medicine with me, which she has gained during her trips to Thailand and India.
Next to the yoga practices we visited locals and ethnic villages. Jolie knows them all well which made this a real authentic experience (with no other tourist around). These families invited us to their homes and shared their meals with us. They were so welcoming and warm-hearted. It was truly an unforgettable experience!
In addition we walked around the beautiful lake and enjoyed the landscape with the mountains in the back and yaks grazing on the fields. You will even meet real cowboys there. To the Yi village we hiked through the mountains.
We stayed at a nice guesthouse with a beautiful garden. The rooms were big and clean and had a private bathroom attached. Three meals a day were provided by the guesthouse. Even though we often ate with the local families. That way I got to try a lot of different foods that are eaten in Yunnan.
I will always remember this wonderful experience with you!
Thanks,
Maya
