The bridge was extremely crowded during the time that we passed through the area and crossed the bridge. I got some nice pics approaching and the bridge from different angles but difficult to get a clean shot of the bridge. We heard from our guide that the bridge was over 500 years old.

This old bridge is more than hundred years now, in Ming dynasty, it was a wooden bridge, in Ching dynasty, Nang family for two generalations is over 100 years old, the father was 108 and the son was 104, they built the stone bridge to commemorate this occasion, call it the" hundred years bridge" it's location is on Zhong-he ( middle river) south of Square Street, the one after the big stone bridge.

Its just a stop on your travels through Ancient town. There are some nice cafe/restaurants along the river offering nice views of the bridge which are much better at night. They tend to be expensive however. Shoot up to the main square and up the hill for cheaper cafes with nice views of the city.

The Chinese are very creative with names, but if you hear the story, the age of the bridge has nothing to do with it name (it was named 100 year old because a nearby villager reached that age). It's also not particularly nice or special.
