The whole town is one big alley of tiny streets and waterways. It is so picturesque but so easy to get lost. You will need a map.

街中に小川が沢山あり、麗江あるいは中国の絶景の一典型になっています。小川に沿って古い建物と柳が続いています。There are many streams in the city, and it is one of the most spectacular views of Lijiang or China. There are old buildings and willows along the stream.

You can see why this has been nominated as a World Heritage site. Interesting buildings line the narrow streets with a river with clear clean water running through the town. Definitely worth a wander through.

Sorry - I traveled with a private guide and didn't use hotels with buffets or breakfast. Our guide sent us to small local restaurants for breakfast that generally were about 5 yuan for noodle soup and tea.
