Beautiful renovated historic theater. These older theaters have so much more character than newer venues with seating for a gajillion. Lucked into attending the filming of John Crist, comedian. Enjoyed the show but were so fortunate to see the theater - including the door identified as the former “coloreds” entrance.

Attended a music event at the Lyric. Great venue, very grand building with comfortable seating and good view from any seat. Not huge theater so good you're close to the stage from any area. Light snacks and good selection of beer and drinks available. Great place to see a concert or play.

Great location for an intimate evening with C. S. Lewis. Enjoyed the performance in this beautiful gem in downtown Birmingham!

I wish I was writing this review after having visited this theater in person for a concert. Unfortunately, that won't be a possibility so I am writing this review based on my *attempt* to go to a concert at this venue. I tried to get tickets online for myself and a family member who requires accessible seating for a concert that is four months away. The website said to call Ticketmaster to ask about accessible tickets. Waited on hold with Ticketmaster for about 45 minutes for them to tell me there were no accessible tickets available for the concert. Since I've found Ticketmaster isn't always a reliable source of information when it comes to accessible seating, I tried to call the venue directly. They don't have a box office, so you get routed to administrative offices when you call. If you push the button for "general information" you get routed to the executive director for the theater. He didn't answer, so I left a message asking for a callback to see if there were any options for accessible seating that might fit our needs. Waited more than a week-no call back. As another reviewer observed, this venue provides a frustrating experience for those with disabilities (or who would like to go to a show with someone with a disability).

We attended a concert and our seats were in the balcony. From the historic signage, our seats were in the colored section. We didn't try any of the other seats, but I can tell you if you're tall or large the seats are a little tight. About halfway through the concert I was ready to get up and walk around. Decor and acoustics are great. Birmingham should be proud that they have such a wonderfully restored theater.

Went and saw NEEDTOBREATHE last night at this beautiful venue. The sound was the best acoustic sound I’ve ever heard at a concert and I’ve been to many. On another note , if you are over 6’ tall I dont think this is the place for you to see a show , especially upstairs. They could have made the seating a little wider and more leg room. You will see in the photos I attach. My wife is a tall woman too and she was barely comfortable. Other than the seats it’s a great place for a show.

I was fortunate to attend a Drive-By Truckers concert as part of the grand opening for the newly renovated Lyric Theatre, and I must say that it was a blast. The seating was comfortable, the setting was intimate, and the public areas of the Lyric were beautiful. I can't wait to see attend another event here. The only issue that I found was the long lines at the concession areas.

Amazing theatre. We have had so much fun here. We came before the Pandemic, after the renovation then again last night for Lucinda Williams and tonight for Father John Misty. All shows were great and the staff was helpful and accommodating.
Drinks are plentiful and not terribly overpriced like some venues. There’s not a bad seat in the house. And plenty of ladies rooms!

We are huge fans of Whose Line is It Anyways, so once I found out it coming to Birmingham, I bought tickets. It was months in advance. Never been to the Lyric Theater. Had no problem with parking, the Theater was smaller than expected, one of the stars wasn't there, but the show was still amazing, (thanks to Greg proops) Awesome show!!!
