We visited on a Sunday afternoon. The museum is interesting and it doesn't take long to walk through. The ticket price includes a pass to take the elevator to the base of the Vulcan. It is a great city view and a little scary if you don't like heights.

Quandary: I had out-of-town guests and wanted to entertain them. Tour around the towns, food, drink? Hey, how about Vulcan? I admit as a long-time resident I had only been to the statue and park once in 30 years. But much has been done with the major renovation. Here it is possible to explain to your visitors the history of... More

This is a great view of the city from the Vulcan. In the Spring or in the Fall with the fall colors. In the museum you get a lot of the history of the city. A must see if you are in the area.

Came here having no idea what to expect. Nice history lesson & scenery. We thought it was just a park. Bring a picnic too. Hope you like heights.

Beautiful historical park. Enjoyed the region's mineral display on the observation deck. The highlight was Vulcan, the cast iron statute, as well as the view of the city of Birmingham from the observation deck.

This park is beautiful to visit when enjoying time with family. There are special events throughout the year and prices are very reasonable. Every year there is a big fireworks show on the 4th of July. Plenty of parking and easy access in and out.

When I first moved to Birmingham I called this the 'Ta Da' statue. Lol. It's a great icon you can see from most pints in The city. Go to the top and view the city lights. A great space to visit throughout the year
