Nice but not a must see place

The major attraction of this national park is the rock formation that looks like a baseball bat. The park itself is not that big. You will probably need 1-1.5 hrs to do it. There is a cable way if you are lazy to walk up but you need to pay extra for it (75 yuan). So if you want to save some money you can easily walk up. The entrance ticket without the cable way wasn't that expensive (around 20 yuan I think). But it's a bit tricky to find the path. If you take a taxi to Qingchuifeng tell the driver to take you to the Pule temple (it is located right under the mountain) there is a small parking lot (first you will reach the bigger parking lot with some restaurants and shops, there you can buy the cable way ticket but you have to continue going up on the small tarmac road). After getting off the car continue walking along the temple and turn left at the end (there is no other choice anyway) than keep going to reach the entrance to the park where you also buy a ticket. There is no loop so going back down you have to take the same path or take the cable way. There are some nice views but overall this park is not the must see place. Actually the rock formation is visible from many other places in Chengde incl. Mountain resort

Beautiful Scenic Spots!

Bordering Mongolia, the national forest was the Emperor's training and hunting grounds during the Qing Dynasty. It has been well preserved and has many photo opportunistic locations.
