nice park to walk around

As you come in, there are so many lotus flowers. The banyan tree is ancient, it has roots coming from the branches that come down to give support. Across the water, looks like there is a cave but we didn't go. The bathrooms facilities are great!

If you like trees
Jul 2018 • Family
Maybe if you like trees, and have some time to kill it is worth the stop. The entry is not more than 20RMB, and it is a really cool tree.

Has great potential, but a filthy tourist trap

First off... if you go, buy your ticket at the main gate. It will cost 4 rmb. We made the mistake of buying a ticket at what we thought was the entrance but was a parking lot. We paid 20 rmb each for the privilege of walking through what was little more than the local dump, and then being poled 100 meters up a creek to the banyan tree. There we were greeted by more garbage, hawkers, a kid crapping on the sidewalk where we stepped off the raft, and a single, very large, impressive tree with a fence around it. Yeah, it’s 1400 years old, but I’ve seen bigger and more impressive trees. For another 10rmb, you can be ferried across to another rock which has a hole in it. We passed on that and walked out the main gate rather than take our raft ride back.

Quick stop by
Oct 2017
We had a quick stop here on our motorbike tour around the area. The tree is super old and was featured in a Chinese movie that was famous in the old days. Therefore there are lots of Chinese tourists here. Including in the ticket of 20 rmb was a short ride with a bamboo boat. Made some cool pictures.

Amazing old tree

Paid RMB$20 for the tickets, I think. It includes a short ride on a bamboo raft to the destination.

The tree is decent enough. Not many tourist due to traffic restrictions in the area. But then again, how long can you stare at a single tree.

Dropped in out of curiosity. It was very busy and pleasant with some lovely surrounding scenery. Some tethered monkeys were a bit of a no no for us.

Kind of boring

If you like staring at a tree then you will love this. If you don't like staring at a tree then you will wondering why you are here. The highlight of this was the guy with the trained monkeys that you can take pictures with for 20 yuan
