Very active the morning we visited. Lots of chanting and incense burning. The grounds are not big but very well laid out. All temples have a fish and tortoise pool - this would be the nicest I have seen

Walked from my Quanzhou hotel to this temple this morning. Large place with two stone pagodas. Many structures to explore. During my visit there was a funeral ceremony, so many people were there, and monks gathered to chant. I highly recommend a visit. Also nearby...More

It is fairly easy to become "templed out" in Quanzhou, but at least it is worth it! Chengtian si holds magnificent architecture, ancient (tiny!) stone pagodas, huge gold leaf paintings, old trees, gold fish, lotus, monks...

This temples is very popular for the locals, on the weekends you have to squeezed your way into the temple! It is also one of the few old Taoist temple that was never destroyed during the war.

The high rising towers of the temple and their architecture is just an amazing sight , the 500 sculptures is a thing which makes me say wonders will never cease .
