Nightly performances of Nanyin Music at 7:30 PM. Free, and free tea served to the tables and chairs in back. You might have to pay if you sit up front. We weren't sure.

As far as temples go, I find Buddhist and Taoist temples to be more interesting than Confucian temples. That said, as far as Confucian temples go, this one is excellent. Very large, expansive, located right in town. The temple also includes a Confucian museum. The best part is just outside the temple gate there is a traditional tea house. Every evening at 8 pm there is live traditional Chinese music, and complimentary Chinese green tea.

Exceptionally well preserved (and still being repaired). Very quiet and very peaceful - not just the temple, but the square and adjacent buildings.

I've been to many Confucius temples around China and Taiwan, including the most famous one in QuFu, ShangDong, where Confucius was born and lived. Nonetheless, this one in QuanZhou is still quite impressive in its own way: spacious, nice ponds, and a museum to memorize the famous scholars (many became government officials) from this region ... A worthwhile visit !

Interesting Temple - a place of learning whereas the one down the road was for Warriors.
Nice and quiet place to walk and enjoy.

A nice temple situated in the city centre. Lovely walk around the courtyards and entry was free. It was very peaceful , we went early to avoid the heat.

Well kept Confucian Temple which is popular among the Chinese. People came from everywhere to pray for their children to pass their exams. Nice place for an walk around the big courtyard of the temple. Admission is free.
