Good collections, and very informative. Well worth visiting. The main building was completed in 2012. I especially liked the displays showing how the local citizens lived hundreds of years ago, and went about their daily activities.

Well laid out Museum. You get to learn the history and culture of the area. How the people in this area are connected to those in Taiwan........the wars, struggles etc which led to the formation of Taiwan. Once you see the history, you would feel how much Chinese people want to have their brethren in Taiwan into their fold.

This museum had a good range of exhibits about Fujian culture, all displayed nicely and with English as well as Chinese explanations. It tells the history of the region. It is opposite a large park, and next door to the Fujian-Taiwan Kinship Museum. When I visited the whole museum looked closed and there was building work outside, but no members of staff to be found. I went in anyway and despite the deserted ground floor, when I went upstairs I found it was open. It was an interesting introduction to local culture and history. I found the exhibits had a lot of cross over with the Fujian-Taiwan museum next door. The museum is free.
