We spent two days (with one overnight on the mountain) on Mt. Huangshan. This is the minimum time in order to see most of the nice scenery on this mountain area. We talked to some tour guides who made one-day tour there, their program did not include the most beautiful part of the mountain. Although we have seen pictures before,... More

We did a two day trip from Shanghai to Huanshan. The train from Shanghai arrived at Huanshan arrived at 1:15p.m. We took a taxi to the bus station an with the eastern cable car in the mountains. At ~4:30 we were at Beihai-Hotel and had a good time to walk around an enjoy the moving clouds around the mountains. The... More

Our tour guide, Suki, surpassed all of our expectations of a tour guide. She was extremely personable and we really enjoyed spending the trip with her. It was fascinating to learn about Chinese culture from Suki. She was very knowledgeable in the history of the Yellow Mountains. In addition to that, it was interesting to hear her experiences about daily... More

Huangshan is the most beautiful mountain in China but we did not get to see its beauty because the day that we were there it was raining the whole day.Because of hotel reservations we had no choice but to proceed with the tour itinerary.

We have done most trails after the cable car Yungu and Ceguangge (mercy light). The ones near yungu were easier, but also on the west side they were not too difficult. There were families with young children and elderly people. The Yungu cable car takes more groups of tourists, waitng time was longer. Once up on the mountain there is... More

I have been here twice once in summer and then when it was raining heavily. This review is when it was raining heavily. I must say we were surprised because there wasnt crowd at all and scenery was equally beautiful. Tip: avoid (if you can during weekends) and I wouldn't go when its public holiday - way too much crowd... More

Been there on June 2014. We did it on 1 day from early morning 7:00 to 16:30. Plenty of stairs ,but worth the effort because the views are spectacular. Especially the western stairs. , Just go there , do not skip it.

Visiting Huangshan Mountain feels like an accomplishment for me. This beautiful mountain is absolutely gorgeous. Spend at least one day in the mountain area. To avoid the busy lunchtime in the shops, bring some food or snack with you.

It was a little drizzly and very cloudy when we went. But since I've always wanted to be in the clouds, I was over the moon! Not the ideal day for photos though, only memories... The whole mountain area is very well setup for tourists. There's a lot of walking once you get to the top. We walked from the... More
