Lots of paleontology, anthropology, and history in one place, along with the full story (with artifacts) from the Chilean miners' rescue.

The history of wine and the area culture and people is what you will find in this interesting and compact museum. Small, yet informative. This museum is part of the unique and charming Resort at Santa Cruz. If you love wine and the interesting geographical...More

You need 2 visits - and this is possible with the 24 hours ticket. A pity for non Spanish speakers that no translation was given after the initial 10 minute video intro.

Went on a rainy day, and it was perfect. Museum is well run and well maintained, has a really nice variety and is big. Good for about 6-8 hours. My kids liked it as well, but lasted only 3 hours (8&10yrs).

This museum is mostly in Spanish but it's massive.. Lots to see! I would hight recommend if you're in the area. I don't remember what I saw exactly as I was just ending a wine tour, but I know it was good. The chilean mining...More

I'm not a huge museum person, but I really enjoyed the Museo de Colchagua. A local told us that it's the "best museum in Latin America" and someone on tripadvisor even said that it's worth the drive from Santiago. Those might be overstatements, but then...More

This was not the place that I expected to find a museum with such a cultural cross section and history of Chile and South America. An hour passed here in the blink of an eye. Even though all the descriptions are in Spanish it is...More

A fantastic museum. It offers many rooms showing the different periods of Chile (from stone age to modernity) in a very nice setting. A special room is also dedicated to the rescue of the 33 mining people.

We moved to Chile over 4 years ago and have been extremely disappointed with the quality of museums and art galleries here. However, the Colchagua Museum is an exception to the rule - likely the best museum in the country. This is a private collection...More

This place was awesome. We spent almost a whole day there and enjoyed every minute of it. You get a 24 hr admission, and we went back for the second day. Covers most everything about Chile.

Hi, We didn't use an audio guide but it didn't really make much difference.
