December 28th 2020 I made a great tour with Cosmo Andino to the Moon Valley in the Atacama dessert in Chili. It was very well organized with comfortable vans with friendly and attentive drivers. Adriaan the guide was great. He knows exactly all the surroundings and told a lot about the geography of the desert, mountains and volcano's. And we went " down hill" from the sand hills as well! :-) There was plenty of time to " breath" the environment and beautiful colors of the mountains and desert. especially during sunset.......unbelievable & don't forget your camera! I really would recommend to do the trip with these guys!

We booked with Cosmo Andino well in advance despite the massive choice of tour “operators” that appeared to be in business on the main street in San Pedro de Atacama following internet searches. What a great decision! It’s inconceivable that all these hole-in-the-wall guys have their own tours and simply act as agents for the high volume operations. They may be cheaper but you get what you pay for. Cosmo’s on line booking process and communication was first rate and gave us confidence that they’d deliver - which they did. We had the same driver (Pepe) and guide (Mauricio) on both days with Pepe acting as chef for the included breakfast and lunch. They both spoke excellent English and appeared to have a good command of several other languages. The tours were exactly what we hoped for and Mauricio was exceptionally knowledgable and entertaining. As we are both over 70 we were concerned about our ability to keep up and avoid altitude sickness, but the advice given by Mauricio made sure we were fine. If something was to go wrong I’m sure his abilities as a first aider as part of his other role as a Fireman would have kept us healthy. You’re spending a lot of money to get to the Atacama, I recommend Cosmo Andino to make the most of it.

We booked several tours with Cosmo Andino during our stay in San Pedro de Atacama and were more than satisfied with every tour and exciting itinerary. The group leaders were knowledgeable , informative and personable and the administrative staff were helpful. We were absolutely thrilled with every single experience......Rainbow Valley, Valley of the Moon and Lagunas Altiplano were our favorites. I personally was not as enthused with the geysers but my husband was. We highly recommend this tour company. Special thanks to Pablo, Mauricio, and Martin for making this holiday one of the best!

My husband and I and a friend visited Pedro De Atacama in mid Jan. We arranged two tours with Cosmo A (the half day trip to Moon and the Mars valley and the full day tour to the Salar/Lagunas). Both the trips were exceptional. They are a very professional outfit. Starting with their email communication -- clear and prompt. They have very experienced guides -- this was very helpful because some parts of the national park can be closed at short notice so the guide has to modify the plan based on what is open and accessible. Our guide did a phenomenal job of taking us to parts of the Rojas Piedras (which is not normally part of the itinerary ) in lieu of a visit to Laguna Caxa (as this was closed to the public). Maurizio (I think that was his name) had years of experience and was very knowledgeable about the places we visited. My only complaint was that Maurizio used the tours as an opportunity to hold forth at length on his views regarding the environment, politics of climate change etc. These are topics that I care deeply about but don't necessarily want to get into a discussion with random guides that I hardly know. In my opinion, he should have just stuck to talking about the places that we were visiting. .

We booked several tours with this company during our stay in San Pedro de Atacama, and were pleased with all of them. All of the groups were small, the maximum was 14. They picked us up at the indicated time, and the tours were as described in the office, where we also received information about what temperatures to expect and what to bring. The guides spoke good English and were knowledgeable about the sites, but sometimes one had to question them to get it out. Some of the other information given by the guides was clearly wrong, so be a bit critical.
