They are beautiful. The tour in itself is not very exciting. You spend a lot of time in your car and there´s no other activity. You go, look, get amazed and turn back around. They do not allow pets, if you´re travelling with your dog. If you are planning on booking a tour a recommend the one that includes: Socraire,... More

There is nothing like this lunar landscape and the lagoons. Very mars like. Worth the drive to cruise around and see them. Stop at the Inca Road. Historic.

at 9,000 feet and in the area of virtually no rain, this is a little bizarre. The flamingoes are a little to confident in that they disregard the observers. Shallow salt water at the edges is pretty clear so you can watch the flamingoes blowing bubbles through their noses as they forage for food.

Included with the tour of the Laguna Altiplanicos, you visit this place and it seems to be out of this earth. The atmosphere is clear, no clouds, deep blue skies, dark blue waters of the lakes and the white snow surrounding this area. But being at a altitude, you may develop mountain sickness if you are not careful enough. Don't... More

two lakes almost next to each other in a stunning mountain setting. thrilling view though it takes a while to get there. I found the altitude at nearly 5000 metres mad me incredibly sleepy and a slight headache too. still worth a visit.

Did the Miscanti Lake excursion from San Pedro Atacama. It was a long ride, but great scenery along the way climbing into the high desert country. In mid January, the crown grass was in full leaf and it colored the hills a brilliant yellow, and in some spots a flowering red plant gave color to the hills. The lakes themselves... More

Very windy there but the place is stunning. Some of my best shots were taken at this place. Traveled with Mauricio from Quelindochile.com

Beautiful lagoons abound, take a few days so you can see a few. We saw vicuña on the edge of one lagoon - breathtaking! We have also seen guanaco and llama.

There are many high plateau lagoons to be seen. Drive up hiway 27 towards Paso de Jama and you will pass several such lagoons. Each one is different from the others. Another option is to visit the Laguna Blanca, Laguna Verde or Lago Colorado in Bolivia. This is definitely worth the trip. Just don't stop after seeing the first one... More
