Our star tour experience was highly anticipated based on all of the "amazing" reviews and, overall, was very good. On arrival to the site via bus, the astronomer in residence gave an extended lecture punctuated with cornball jokes. He is obviously very knowledgable and passionate about his subject matter-- but is just not a comedian! Standing in the cold throughout... More

This tour was absolutely amazing! It cost 20,000 Chilean and was 100% worth it. We tried to book online in advance and got an email saying it was all booked, but once we got to San Pedro there was availability. They drive you 15 min into the desert where we got a great lesson from a Canadian astronomer named Les.... More

I love space and this tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Atacama. The tour was lead by an astronomer, and the first 45 minutes were spent teaching and pointing out constellations. We then moved to the telescopes that were set up in advance and saw Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, stars, star clusters, and galaxies. It was amazing... More

This is the place where you can have the best astronomic tour in Atacama. After a 45min lecture about the sky they provide a great experience allowing you to explore it with 10 telescopes. We could see Saturn, Jupter, Mars, Milky way stars and, of course, the moon.

The locals know that this is the best astronomy tour in San Pedro de Atacama. Part 1: view the sky with the naked eye to find planets, stars, constellations. Part 2: use telescopes to see Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sirius, star clusters. Part 3: Q&A with hot chocolate Bring: lots of clothes, hat, gloves because it's cold and you will be... More

This nighttime astronomy tour remains a highlight of our time traveling around the world. It is truly a must do while in San Pedro de atacama. There are other companies who offer this tour, but none quite like SPACE. the staff and owners are super knowledgable and passionate about what they do. The telescopes are incredible, you learn a lot,... More

I won't echo the compliments (very knowledgeable, great views, great hosts) or concerns (standing the entire time) of previous reviewers. Want meant so much to me - if shallow - was in addition to seeing and learning about the stars, I wanted a photograph. Alessandra (spelling?) and her husband spent time with me showing me how to adjust my camera... More

I really loved the tour itself, and I really think it's a must do in San Pedro. It's a perfect spot to see stars and planets, the explanations are great, I learned a lot. Since I've always lived in a big city, I would never think that the sky could have so many stars, it's incredible. The only bad thing... More

Loved this tour so much! The guides were super informative but also keep it interesting and fun. They even take pictures of the moon through a telescope on everybody's camera. Best thing I did in San Pedro.

We went on this tour last night after doing some research and the positive reviews below do not disappoint. This was a great few hours spent out in the desert with Less (Canadian-born astronomer who could moonlight as a comedian) as he talked us through what we would be seeing through the ten telescopes on offer before letting us loose...
