This is a strange review, because I have been here before. Last time it was great, this time, not so much. The last time I was with my girlfriend and we went on the English speaking tour. My spanish speaking girlfriend loved it, the guy talking was funny and was really involved with the group. This time we did the... More

I was surprised to see some disappointed reviews. Our experience was great. We are not very familiar with astronomy and we come from Europe where the weather is bad and light pollution is worse for star gazing. Yes, it is cold at night. Dress warmly. You do have to be on your feet for about an hour. The telescopes will... More

Enjoyed the experience for the most part.. We did our tour in English which was heralded by Canadian who spoke very well and was clearly an expert in his field .. it was quite cold but they have blankets (dress warm though because you stand outside for the most part) .. Telescopes were great especially seeing Saturn ... My only... More

Hi, Yesterday I did astronomic tour with this agency. I am not very experienced in the field but the tour was so exciting and our Canadian guide so good at explaining all that and making the evening a enjoyable one as well. 10 telescopes available and wrap up with the very passionate owner a good chance for Q&A. Cherry on... More

Goes for about 2.5 hrs. Costs $30. They bus you in/out to where this privateer has 10+ telescopes, but before you get to see through any, the host takes an hour to explain the various aspects of 'the sky' in a very entertaining way (using a hand laser). Every minute you are learning something new. Jam packed educationally. So well... More

Our star tour experience was highly anticipated based on all of the "amazing" reviews and, overall, was very good. On arrival to the site via bus, the astronomer in residence gave an extended lecture punctuated with cornball jokes. He is obviously very knowledgable and passionate about his subject matter-- but is just not a comedian! Standing in the cold throughout... More

This tour was absolutely amazing! It cost 20,000 Chilean and was 100% worth it. We tried to book online in advance and got an email saying it was all booked, but once we got to San Pedro there was availability. They drive you 15 min into the desert where we got a great lesson from a Canadian astronomer named Les.... More

I love space and this tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Atacama. The tour was lead by an astronomer, and the first 45 minutes were spent teaching and pointing out constellations. We then moved to the telescopes that were set up in advance and saw Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, stars, star clusters, and galaxies. It was amazing... More

This is the place where you can have the best astronomic tour in Atacama. After a 45min lecture about the sky they provide a great experience allowing you to explore it with 10 telescopes. We could see Saturn, Jupter, Mars, Milky way stars and, of course, the moon.
