45kms of an awful unpaved road + 5000 pesos to get access to only one small pool + very windy place + no deck to walk around and admire the beautiful lagunas = not worth the trip.

So worth it! It’s not so close from San Pedro city center but it’s totally worth it! It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been! The water was very cold but you get used to... and the float sensation is good. It’s better to wear boots or sneakers to reach the last lagoon. There’s a bathroom where you almost doesn’t fit inside the cabins, showers (cold water and no light) and a place to change your clothes. Everything in the entrance only and its not a place if you’re shy. Everyone keeps getting in and out but it’s separate by gender. The salt really starts to scratch your skin so it’s good to take a shower after all. I was intending to stay just a hour there but I lost track of time there!

The entrance fee is 10,000 CLP/adult and 5,000 CLP/child as of June 2023. They don’t take credit cards, so make sure you have money.
We drove our rental (crossover) there, and it was fine. But don't go too fast on the dirt roads.
You float in the first lagoon and then walk around the area to check out the other lagoons. The experience was unique as I had never been inside such a salted pool. But my partner, who has been to the Dead Sea, said the experience was similar. Water temp was cold, but go in the afternoon so that you can warm up once outside of the lagoon.
Do bring a towel and water to wash off the salt (shower wasn’t available when we were there).

A stunningly beautiful place, about 1 hour from San Pedro. Hire a car to drive and it will be cheaper than tours. There are a few lagoons, you walk along to get to each on a trail. You can swim in the first one and last one - they are very cold (we were there in winter) however the experience of floating is brilliant; just like the dead sea, and more stunning. This was our favourite place to visit from San Pedro; you can take a picnic.

This is a bit of an off road, dusty drive....but well worth it! We spent hours floating around like corks in the cold, salty water. It is epic landscape! They have showers to rinse all the salt off.

This place is a phenomen! Small salt lagunas with floating (the biggest one is quite okai for floating :-)). Its just a spectacular walk! Go there! A lot cheaper than other options of salt lakes.

Amazing group of 5 lagoons at 1 hr from San Pedro, where you can enjoy the beautyness of the formation process of them, the colors and the minerals in them

E "gelada" quanto? Tipo as cachoeiras de Pirenópolis?
Aline
Goiania, GO30 contributions
