This is an astonishing landscape! What a wonderful place! When the sky touches the mountains surrounding you and the sunrise meet snowy peaks reflected on a lake and you can hear birds singing, then you know you met the paradise.

As far as I understand, it's a man-made water reserve. It serves as water source for parts of Chile. Nice views and turquoise water, but buying a tour, originating from Santiago is simply not worth the money. For international tourists - there's a discrimination fee...More

Is beautiful any time of the year! On winter most part of the visit, you will do walking because cars can’t get close because of the snow! I want to visit again in winter!! Definitely should be worth it!

We had a tiny (cheap) hire car & it was fine - but we did a fairly simple drive & we didn’t go off the main road/s If you are going to explore more off the roads then a 4wd would probably be useful
