This Hostel has been the best I have stayed at so far here in Chile. The owners were awesome and very nice. They were very accommodating and even build us a bonfire upon our arrival. If you plan to go and hike in the Andes this is a great place to stay. It's only ~30 min drive to San Jose del Maipo where the San Francisco Glacier in Monumento Natural El Morado Natural Park is located (an absolutely amazing hike with vast and grandiose scenery)

The owner and employees were the nicest people I've met here in Chile. They were extremely accommodating, generous, helpful, and friendly. Our group had only planned to stay one night, but because of how beautiful the place was and how comfortable we all felt there with the staff we couldn't refuse their invitation to stay another night. We arrived at night and they started a large bonfire for us and it was the perfect setting for our first night in the Andes. The beds were really comfortable and the grounds were great. Breakfast and coffee was also provided. This is by far the best hostal I've stayed in so far in Chile taking everything, including price into account.

I encourage every traveler who goes to chile to make a stop by at the cajon del maipo~ very beautiful, exciting, and its all one wants in a Vacation.
going to this Hacienda Los Castanos the host and owners were incredible. They offer Very low prices in Rooms and dormitories,and Food. they also offer many extreme activities within their facility ( rafting- kayaking- paint ball rage - ziplinning ) they are very well rounded facility. But the most increadible part is the humbleness of the employees. Most amazing ppl. I TRUELY RECOMEND THIS PLACE. AND WILL GO BACK ONE DAY IN LIFE.

First we booked our reservation with “Booking.com”. I called to ask some questions and they told me I should cancelled and make the reservation directly in their websit. We did so, they promised a “cabaña” with two bedrooms and big enough for my son to get in with his wheelchair. When we got there we had a minimal space, just one big room with narrow doors.... we booked and payed for 4 and the structure was only for 3 (3 plates, 3 forks, 3 towels etc). Also the energy went off for 3 hours, so we did not have energy or water. When the lights were on again, there was no gas to heat the water. A perfect disaster. On top of everything came a manager saying that if we were not ok he would find another place for us... of course, he never came back.

My friend and I stayed at the cabanas and got to go rafting and to the local hot springs. caljon del maipo is very nice! the hot springs are very beautiful.

Stayed here one night with some college friends, best hostel experience I’ve ever had. Favio and the crew were so accommodating I couldn’t imagine any better hosts. All the activities – rafting, ziplining, horseback riding, a photo tour – were taken care of for us. Instead of having to trek 5 km to town for food, we were cooked the most mouth-watering barbecue for lunch and a classy pasta and wine dinner. The cabin itself had a grand living room area that we used to hold a mini-reggaeton dance party at night. The chill, fun atmosphere of this hostel is ideal for college kid; however, if you want to sleep the rooms are separate from the main cabin, so you won’t be kept up by any gatherings. The only complaint I have is that the hot water wasn’t working so we had to take cold showers. Overall great experience though, 5/5 would stay here again.
