About
Dear all Travellers You want to visit Battambang and Real Cambodia? My name is Savet a former of English teacher from 2010 to 2014 and graduated University in 2013 major of Human Resource Management. Now I work as a tour guide and Tuk Tuk driver base in Battambang. I would like to introduce my unique tour program if you have one day to visit Battambang. What makes us different? - We mix bike tour and Tuk Tuk tour in a day. - We do explore village life by bikes so this is the best way to know Real Cambodia. It is my own village where i was born so i will show you how we live and enjoy cycling around beautiful countryside. - We offer you a local lunch that will be prepared by my wife. - You will have a chance to meet friendly local people and they are so happy to meet you. - We are happy during the tour if you have more questions to ask.

Savet was one of the best guides we've had on our Southeast Asia trip so far! He's very pleasant, knows a lot and his stories are exciting!
He took us through his village by bike in a very authentic way, took us to his own school (my personal highlight, I'm a teacher myself!) & showed us landscapes that are far away from mass tourism...
We learned a lot about life as a farmer in Battambang and were able to experience the culture up close. The many beautiful and unforgettable encounters with the children were very emotional for me.
We recommend the tour to anyone who is interested in real life!
Thank you so much, Savet!

A wonderful ride by tuktuk from Battambang to the Prasat Banan hill temple on side roads past rice fields and small fruit farms. Savet has explained a lot about fruit growing - why guavas on the tree are covered with plastic bags, which fruits ripen when and how often. We visited a mushroom farm and harvested lemongrass, curcuma roots and several other edible grasses and leaves. At that point, the visit of the temple became almost a minor matter. At the end of the afternoon we visited the Killing Cave with the mountain sanctuary from which there is a magnificent panoramic view of the country with the endless rice fields. And as dusk set in, we still watched the millions of bats fly out of their cave. Everything super organized and timed perfectly.

I found out about this tour over a year ago and kept it saved for when I finally arrived in Cambodia and made Battambang a destination for this tour. We were not disappointed, if anything, it was better than we expected.
We had the best day with Savet! I genuinely feel like I saw a real side of Cambodia which makes a change from all the normal tourist sites.
We were introduced to his Mother and Aunt first at the house he grew up in. (His mother loves it if you take a photo of her) we were taught about the plants and how people live in the village - it’s very interesting.
We then went on a bike ride around a few of the local villages and stopped to see kids playing a game and they were incredibly friendly. Everyone we met along the way were the friendliest, happiest and so incredibly smiley. We saw farmers collecting rice from their fields.
After the bikes we went to the bamboo train - you will be on this as your group. This is a tourist attraction so you will see other tourists there too. It was a lot of fun when other trains were approaching and you have to get off to let them pass. Whilst riding the bamboo train you see miles of fields with animals and we even saw a wedding in progress.
We then went to a few different places to learn about local productions. This included rice paper (it’s delicious), fish paste, rice wine (I dare you to try the Cobra one), sticky rice and banana chips (there are 3 types to try. Sun dried was my favourite)
At around 2pm we had lunch at his house which was cooked by his wife. I can only put it in one word. DELICIOUS! His wife is an incredible cook. I can not spell what was cooked for us but it was just amazing. We left with very full stomaches. It was very much appreciated that we got to relax in hammocks for a while to digest the food and we could have fallen asleep it was so relaxing. We had a quick look at the bungalows being made for the future guesthouses which were over a pond and looked great! Everything being made from bamboo. We met his family whilst being at his house, who are just a beautiful family. Very smiley and happy.
We went then to the killing cave and mountain. Here we discussed the history of Cambodia and we learned a lot from Savet not just about the history but Cambodia now aswell.
We had an incredible day and can not recommend this tour enough. Thank you for a truly unforgettable experience.

Had a great day with Savet today, saver took us to his home town and parents house to really see the local life. Savet challenges you constantly by not just telling but also asking a lot how you would grow a banana tree for instance. It's a great and funny way to really understand how the local life works. After the village tour by bike we went to see the local handicraft which was also great and out of the standard toerist places. So if you want a real local experience with no other toerist in sight I can highly recommend Savet.

We took an afternoon tour with Savet and would highly recommend. He suggested the itinerary for us but also included the bamboo train at our request. We visited the bamboo train, the killing cave and the bat cave. Communication from the beginning was great, and he came to our hotel exactly as organized. Savet’s English language is fantastic and he gave us lots of interesting information about his own life as well as the areas we visited- his knowledge of the areas we visited was impressive. We were a bit scared to ride motorcycles up the mountain so he organized a car for us no problem. I would love to have done the full day tour and seen village life, but unfortunately we didn’t have a full day in the area. Savet was happy to offer a half day though- thankfully, as we wouldn’t have seen or learnt half as much without him!

We had a great day touring with Savet. He asked us what we wanted to do and we did it at the pace we wanted, so his trips are customizable. We saw the highlights of Battambang, including lots of picturesque scenery of the countryside. We lucked out as it was rice harvest time and seeing the farmers work amd rural life was fantastic. Savet is knowledgeable, with excellent English. We highly recommend taking a tour with him.

We toured around for a day and a half, and Savet did a really nice job putting together a great itinerary our whole family could enjoy. With small kids (7, 5, 1), keeping them and us interested is not always easy, but the village tour, bamboo train, bat cave, etc were all big hits. And as mentioned, his English is excellent, and he’s a very engaging guide.

Thank you for booking my tour for a day and a half. It was so really nice to serve your you and your lovely kids.
They were really happy to learn about my place. It was a great experience for your kids to see local school as well.
Thank you that allowed me to organize that program for you.

This was the most authentic, local tour we have ever taken. We rode bicycles to the village and family home where Savet was born, at home, as were his 7 siblings. We went to local cottage industries that were fascinating. Savet’s lovely wife made us a delicious lunch befor we continued our fantastic day. I would recommend Savet wholeheartedly!

What an incredible day with my husband and 5 year old son. Savet picked us up from our hotel and drove us to his home to introduce us to his family, explaining about the different tropical fruit trees in his garden. We then all bicycled through many villages which was so much fun waving to all the locals and seeing them go about their day. We took the bamboo train which was so exciting, and then went to see how they make rice wine, banana crisps and rice paper. Savets family cooked us lunch at their home which was delicious. Savet speaks excellent English and very informative. Lastly we visited the bat caves at sunset... a beautiful end to the day. I can highly recommend Savet and his tour it really was something we will never forget. 😃
