This seems to be the spot where every tourist and tour group would congregate to capture the light as the sun sets. While beautiful, it's not exactly high on my to-do list, unless you're passionate about using your camera to capture specific images, or selfies or something like that. It's a long stretch of hill, so you are bound to find a free spot where you can plant yourself while waiting for the sun to go down. Then pack up and endure the inevitable traffic as everyone leaves.

Not much to do here otherwise apart from occasionally declining repeated requests from hawkers (some as young as 12) to buy postcards - strangely, they're more persistent here than at other places. If you really want a great view and don't mind the expense, consider a balloon ride instead.

This is just a litle hillock where you can watch the sun set over the temples if you are lucky and if you time it right. It;s crowded with camera boffins all setting up their gear and looking earnest. There are also lots of souvenir and clothing sellers moving among the assembled throng and pitching for a sale.

People come here, a slightly raised spot to be able to see a golden sunset going down unhindered view. Many tourists had taken up their position with long cameras set on tripods. As it happens at the last moment a large black cloud came and covered the sun. But a beautiful golden lining had formed at the edge of the cloud.

The view from this vantage point was very good, however the sky did not grace us with an ideal sunset. On a good day, I would suggest that, apart from witnessing a sunset on the river, this would be a stunning place to take a photo of sunsets that Myanmar is famous for.
