We took a sunset cruise out. Saw the fishermen and went through the village on stilts. Given the time of year (April) there really is no sunset. Certainly worth the visit for two solid days.

This is very active river as people do lot of things that you can see. Specially cultivation, traditional industries, etc. But when you find a boat, need to careful. For our case first they asked 60000. But we bargained and reduced till 18000. Other thing is when you get lunch, be careful. Boat drivers bring you there some bad places.... More

A busy town at one end of Inle Lake. A great location and plenty to see and do. The boat trip out on the lake was wonderful and the boats power along and with the hot weather, it is great sitting at the back getting wet from the spray. I am glad I got to sit there. Interesting little stops... More

While there are the terrible tourist locations on the lake it is relatively untouched. The floating gardens are very impressive along with buildings. Allow a full day or two if you have time

There is so much to see and do - this is a world all on its own. The fishermen seem to come from centuries past, as do their stilt villages. The craft workshops are all worth visiting, as are the main market and the temples. Travelling about in the longtail boats between the ancient hydroponic fields, watching the sensational birdlife,... It's beautiful and relaxing around Inle lake. We went after our trip in Bagan where we were very busy wandering around. We were looking for sometime more relaxing and comfortable. I don't think there's need of arranging a guide and a boat for more than 1day as there are nothing much to see other than the lake itself. Our tour... More

The lake and surroundings are beautiful. I had a private boat and arranged this in the village. I would recommend this day trip!

Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours ???? You must be joking: you will miss a lot if your visit is a s brief as that !! You need 2-3 days here at least (we spent 3 nights at the Villa Inle resort and loved every minute of it). This is perhaps THE highlight of Myanmar. Book a hotel around the... More

The Inle Lake and is surroundings are beautiful. We enjoyed 2 days and nights in the area and visited various locations, including the floating gardens and the bamboo forrest. Loved the boat rides !!
