Just gorgeous cruising around Inle Lake and watching the local commerce. It is a very busy Lake which many local people depend on for their livelihood and they are quite open to tourists photographing them. Very enjoyable day.

It is difficult to describe all attraction this lake offers but definitely it is worth watching sunset from the boat, there is teak brigde worth seeing as well. Jumping cat monastery - another amazing place not mentioning floating gardens. All in all one day boat trip wouldn't make you bored! :-)

Very beautiful place with lots to do. We rented bicycles and cycled to a few villages on the lake, took a boat trip and also cycled to the nearby thermal springs..you can do some beautiful hikes too for 1-3 days

I seriously enjoyed my time at Inle Lake. I took two full day boat tours, and would have like more time to see all of the sights along the lake. It was cold and foggy in the mornings when I visited, but warmed up about 10am. This lead to some very atmospheric photos in the early hours. One day, we... More

Rather than take a whirlwind spin around the country, we opted to spend 5 days at Inle Lake with no regrets. From trekking to biking, boat rides, hot springs, pagodas, shopping, and more, we were on the go. Thankfully, we chose Mount Inle hotel for a very comfortable stay and rest in between activities. Our highlights were in seeing how... More

Spent 3 days at Inle Lake - definitely the highlight of my 23 days in Myanmar - it's not to be missed! Make sure you tour around the lake, but also take the trip south to Samkar. The journey is long but absolutely beautiful and you get the chance to see some of the quieter less touristy parts of the... More

Inle Lake is spectacular. Amazing tranquility watching the fishermen row with their leg since the hands are occupied fishing. Floating gardens with tomatoes and other vegetables. Crafts workshops for the silversmith, silk and lotus flower weavers. In each villages, everyone are weavers or Blacksmiths. Highly recommend!

I went on a sunrise boat tour and it was absolutely beautiful. Be mindful though that it is going to be quite a cold morning. Most of the boats come with a blanket, but I'd recommend bring a sweater or two. There's so much to do on the lake including cigar rolling workshops, silk and cotton workshops and silver workshops.

During our 2 1/2 week tour through Myanmar we stopped off for 4 days at Inle Lake and glad we did. There was a tremendous range of very interesting activities on and off the lake, ranging from temples, to villages, to markets, to watching the fisherman and lake farming, to watching may different craftsmen and women at work. The resorts... More

We stayed 3 days by this Lake and had a wonderful time. We arrived by one of these long teak boats (they reminded me of the boats you also see in Thailand) at our hotel and made outings from there. We saw fishermen fishing, we went to villages and saw the ladies which look like giraffe women with their brass... More
