For us it was the best place to rest our feet after touring the Old Nessebar. You'll have a wonderful panorama of rocky beach and old ruins.

Old ruins from a church or something, there is a tower next to it as well. The ruins and tower are pretty cool, you can't go in or climb on the ruins funny enough. If your walking around Old Nessebar it is another thing to have a look at.

The basilica is dating back to the 6th century. It is really average, some ruin without any legend or history. If this is your first the first time to see a ruin, you will like it, if you've seen many, you will not remember to this.

A bit off the main centre of nessebur these ruins aren't that easy to spot and you can't get too close, so younger children cant really see. However are worth finding out whilst you're here

This basilica was built in VI century and was a part of monastery complex. In XIV century it is believed it was destroyed by an earthquake.

Not very well signposted but is very large in area. We happened to spot the tower which looks over the site while walking around the coast pathway. Being the exploring types we wandered over and found the ruins which we had to research about when we got home. Not very much (or any) information around while there but no entry fee so if you happen to come across it feel free to take a look.

Sveta Bogoroditsa Eleusa or the Basilica of the Mother of God Eleusa is well worth a visit. It is just a ruin but is quite a large site. It is right on the coast so lovely sea views.

A visit to Nessebar is a must, the island is rich in history and was occupied by most of the great European empires at one time or another. The restaurants are also great!!! The Basilica of the Mother of God Eleusa is easy to find and carries no entry fee. Unfortunately the site is not well kept and there is no real information at the site so do your home work before visiting. Despite this it is still worth while visiting and is also home to a geocache for those that are interested.
