Good structure around, calm sea waves and nice landscape. Perfect for real relaxing despite the location to be far from downtown.

When they realize you are not there to spend lots of money, you are on your own. Used to be a good place 20 years ago. Now, they think they own the beach. Everything has an end. Almada beach is past. Explore more than 80 beaches in Ubatuba seashore...it is worth it. ;)

We had so much fun. We even went on a rainy / cloudy day, but the large structure of covered tables made it doable. We had a place to put our stuff when it rained. Then when we left, there was a fresh spring made into a shower that allows you to rinse off and a bathroom. THAT was SO helpful when traveling with young children. The waves were perfect for body boarding. I was expecting a little more choice of food. Had we been there on a busier day there probably would have been more vendors. The restaurant that was there (with the structure) had extra body boards and sand toys the kids could use for free. They even have a little trampoline for kids.

This use to be my favorite ( non-island beach) in the Paraty, Ubatuba area but the last 2 times we went it was so overly packed it was hard to find anywhere to sit. Getting service at the big restaurant there took an awfully long time and $20 reais parking fee is always kinda annoying too. Prettier, less crowded beaches with free parking are all around .

If you wanna go to the beach and don't wanna think about carrying chairs and stuff, this is the place where you can go. Access a little bit difficult, far from the road, but it worth it.
