Neighborhood: Pinheiros
Exploring Pinheiros, a neighborhood known for cozy restaurants and cafes, you will notice a youthful energy. Several cultural centers and institutes surround the area and even its main church, Calvário, hosts a traditional Brazilian “Festa Junina” - a celebration with traditional music, dance, and food during the months of June and July. On the weekends, residents gather at Benedito Calixto Square, a loud and crowded area where people enjoy live music drinks alongside the antiquities fair.

It is one of the most beautiful spaces in Sao Paulo. One can find the proposals of a fashion as advanced and avant-garde as the Brazilian, with all kinds of proposals. There are popups with interesting brands, and a must to visit is Melissa’s Badge store, Osklen’s, and of course, the cafe where they sell trendy books near the subway station. I have always found brands like Schütz and other jewelry on sale in footwear (Brazil is very strong at that) and also accessories from emerging brands. It's definitely my favorite street in town.

Contrary to what many people think, it is not very expensive there. There are Mega expensive stores and others at even normal prices. I was lucky enough to catch the last few days at the Timberland store and they had several promotions. The Havaianas space is worth a visit and maybe buy something.
The tip is to start at Havaianas and walk along the street. End the tour with an ice cream at Baccio di Latte.
Along the way there are several other stores that are worth a stop.
Tip from the merchant there, as they are old stores with huge stocks. Therefore, pieces from old collections are at a great price and there are the pieces.

Okay, first off, for women: wear heels at your peril. Many do, but the side streets off Oscar Freire (and you will want to head to those as well, Lorena, Melo Alves, Augusta, Consolação etc) are hilly, variable pavements etc.

Oscar Freire is a mixed bag shopping wise : like, a Christofle on one hand, a Forever 21 on the other. It’s not Madison Avenue. But there are gems of all prices to be found (presents for friends at home : Havainanas!!!) and it’s a scene on the street.

Americans (such as myself): if you’re walking against the one way traffic, take heed at the corners. You’ll see a crosswalk, no walk don’t walk signs, no street light for you to assess going your direction. Just don’t get run down thinking you have right of way. That said, Oscar Freire would be a continual frenzy if in NYC, but at quasi nonpeak Saturday afternoon hours, it’s actually pretty tranquil

And for those of us who miss bookstores (yes amazon) there’s a lovely high end one on Lorena.

Oscar Freire Street is the most famous Luxury Shopping Street in the country. Although some of the most luxury shoppings left the street and moved to JK Iguatemi Shopping Center (Louis Vuitton, Dolce&Gabbana, Bulgari, etc ) and Cidade Jardim Shopping Center (Miu Miu, Tommy, Prada, Channel, etc).
The street is still a reference in luxury shopping, but it is changing to more a fashion street with trending brands.

There are good Cafes (Cristallo, Santo Grao) and Ice Cream Shops (Ben and Jerry's, Baccio de Latte). And also some flagship stores like Audi, Citroen and Havaianas that are worth the visit.

Strolling about the Oscar Freire Street is a change from wandering through the large Sao Paulo Malls, although many brands encountered on the street are the same as in the malls and are among the most expensive ones. The street is a busy one every day of the week and offers a very nice atmosphere with coffee shops, bars, small restaurants spread between the shops. There is also a gallery offering more original and typical products. The concept store Havaianas is located on this street and is attracting lots of tourists as well as curious Braziians.

Good shopping and are most favourite one is The Havaianas shop!
It's a must visit as has all collection here and all sizes!

We didn't feel unsafe here, but of course need to keep always an eye.

Sao Paulo and Brazil in generally is very expensive and doesn't really offer much in the way of shopping. Locally produced products offer good value, but are not cheap.

This is one of the remaining shopping streets that are still worthwhile in Brazil. Filled with fancy shops, bars and other amenities, it is a fine walk for a saturday afternoon.
