I was here to attend “ Lion in Winter “ , a play I read and watched the two movie versions: Kate Hepburn’s and Glen Close ‘s . The theater is very modern and comfortable with a nice cafeteria and sofas & chairs to stay before the play. It is located in the very old center of the city of São Paulo among the most decadent places in this very large city. An interesting contrast . Brazil has a lot of great actors and directors and if theater is of particular interest try to get to know this place . Anthony Hopkins himself mentions that he watched Cacilda Becker ‘s perfomance and although he could not understand a word he could feel the excellence of the performance of the late Brazilian actress

If you are in Sao Paulo, go to their website and check what concert is scheduled there. They always have entretaining shows on. The facilities are good, with a nice waiting room and cafeteria. When the performance is over, you can take the free shuttle to Luz station.

I've been to this theater for the first time to see Fernanda Torres performing a monologue ("A Casa dos Budas Ditosos"). The theater is awesome: modern, with a highly well-trained staff from tickets sellers , receptionists including firemen and security. Seats are comfortables and sound system is good (not excellent, but good). My only complain is related to parking payment system: there were automated desks where you could pay for parking; however for my surprise those machines were turned off exactly at exiting time. The queue was fast though (nothing more than 10 min).

The brand new "Teatro Porto Seguro" has recently opened its doors at São Paulo's old city center! Beautiful and superb installations bring the best musicals and plays to São Paulo. Huge protected parking areas mean confort and security to clients. Whenever in São Paulo, check the theater's agenda and book your ticket! You may have the opportunity to attend an unforgettable moment, with the very best performers at the Brazilian cultural scene. As it is located in the old city center, if don't have your own car, always go by taxi. When leaving, the theater organizes taxi services to take you home safely. Enjoy!
