Top ways to experience Vale do Anhangabaú and nearby attractions

The area
Neighborhood:
Sé, which derives its name from Sé Square, is a central neighborhood in historic São Paulo. Close by, the Law School, the Museum of the Court of Justice and the Metropolitan Cathedral offer inspiring architecture. If you are looking for cultural activities, head to Caixa Cultural and check the schedule. In the area there is a popular pedestrian street called “Rua Direita”, one of the first streets in the region, which today marks the crowded perimeter. Sé is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.
How to get there
  • Anhangabaú • 4 min walk
  • São Bento • 5 min walk

Terrible area, dirty, noisy and dangerous. Watch your belongings. The area has been quite abandoned for a while. Avoid it.

Very interesting, renewed, a very important ladmark of the city of São Paulo. Mind the pick pockets. pay attention on the Cha Bridge, Santa Efigenia Bridge and the former cinema Olido.

The concept is ok, but the implementation not so much. There are many people begging for money, some corners smells bad and I don't feel safe there.

When they first revitalized this place, it was really beatiful, but I've been there 2 months ago and it was all forgoten and was not preserved, besides, there's a lot of homeless people living the there and a lot of pick pockets and dangerous people around, so my suggestion is to be carefull around there and the whole Sao Paulo downtown.
