The area

Address
Neighborhood: Pinheiros
Exploring Pinheiros, a neighborhood known for cozy restaurants and cafes, you will notice a youthful energy. Several cultural centers and institutes surround the area and even its main church, Calvário, hosts a traditional Brazilian “Festa Junina” - a celebration with traditional music, dance, and food during the months of June and July. On the weekends, residents gather at Benedito Calixto Square, a loud and crowded area where people enjoy live music drinks alongside the antiquities fair.

Very nice church, easy to find. If you like to see different churches, as some of our group did, then this is a good place to visit.

Beautiful church. Great ceiling and the gold is amazing. Located in the Jardin district. Take an uber or cab as limited parking in the area.

We did a private city tour, and our guide recommended this Cathedral. He was right. It was absolutely beautiful. The artwork is just wonderful and the ceiling is styled after the Sistine Chapel.

A local guide took us there, and I did wonder why till I stepped inside. This is a real gem, it's absolutely beautiful. Don't miss the toilets, I won't say why but just go!

Beautiful church, in the heart of Jardins neighborhood. Plenty of details, typical from the Baroque Style, this church is a museum itself. Attend a mess at late afternoon and you could have the opportunity to listen to good sacre music.

Well outside the heart of Sao Paolo's tourist area, this church is still quite accessible via metro and a hike on foot, but it's well, well worth it. I've never seen anything quite like it. The exterior has domed minarets, which is in itself rare. Inside, using blue and white and brown and white tiling, some fascinating decor has been created, in a quasi Dutch style. The real gem is the ceiling, which is a poor man's copy of the Sistine Chapel, but is remarkable nonetheless. The star scape ceiling above the altar is also stunning. The church also has some hidden rooms worth seeking out. A real treasure to find.

If you enjoy churches and art, you must visit this quaint church. It is a mini-Sistine Chapel. Look up inside! Safe area too. The chapels are quaint too.

Very, very beautiful. Has a small gift shop. The exterior is exquisite. Must visit. We felt very safe outside as well. Seems to be a nice location with beautiful houses near by.

Interesting. Check out the paintings in the mini museum next to the cathedral. They are about colonial times.

Constructed in 1940, and visually dominating Jardins thanks to its tall spires, Paróquia Nossa Senhora do Brasil justifies a stop for worshipers and fans of architecture alike thanks to gold inlay plus a large art collection that outshines many of Brasil's other Churches or Cathedrals.
