It's hard to find a zoo that creates a completely natural habitat for its animals, and the São Paulo Zoo is no exception. Still, staff try to provide a decent home for the more than 3,000 animals in their care, including local luminaries such as the Brazilian howler monkey and the red-breasted toucan.

Good zoo that can get busy

Access can be difficult if driving and having to park. I travelled by taxi so no major issues. Zoo is well maintained and has a good selection of animals

with many species has a beautiful place but unfortunately this zoo is very old and another problem is that many animals are alone therefore very sad.

You can do many other things in Sao Paulo. The zoo is an outdated kind of activity that shouldn't exist anymore. Sorry. Let's let animals live out there!

A great zoo with a large variety of animals. All the animals look very well and in great shape. The entrance price is very low.

Great place to go alone with more people. Many trees on the zoo and many animals to see. Not so many healthy food options but there is a nice space for picnic and you can take some quality food with you if that's the case. If you go on the weekends or holidays, be aware of the traffic, because there... More

The zoo is quite limited with fairly small spaces for the animals. It's improving slowly but there is still a lot to wish for. The new dinosaur part is amazing though and in itself makes the whole visit worthwhile.

I went to SP Zoo with my 3 year old kid and he loved everything! I did not enjoyed as much as him because they don't have many food options or gift shop with interesting stuff.

If you go by car the best way to park is: Early morning (like 8am) is right on the street in front of the entrance If you arrive after 8:30 the best way is go directly to the convention center parking lot. Enter through the highway (main entrance) Doing it you gonna avoid the traffic on main street of the... More
