Inspired in the Opera House from Paris, this theather has and special and splendorous architeture. There are guided tours but you have to be enrolled. Check the visiting hours and arrive early. Enjou the tour. It's really interesting!

Hardly the Palais Garnier, but would qualify as a pretty grand regional German opera house - lots of polished brass and bronze, if not that much gilt. The glass in the windows at the front from the outside is the best I have seen at...More

Besides its beauty, outside and especially inside, it tells us a bit of Brasil's moments 100 years ago. I recommend the guide tour to have a flavor of it.

The theater is really beautiful. It has been recently restored, we had a guided visit and is free. Getting there at night is a bit of a challenge. The area surrounding the theater is dark..

An amazing piece of old São Paulo! Definitely worth seeing, especially the interior - it's fabulous! It's a great spot for taking beautiful pictures, too. But you have to be there early, otherwise it's too crowded. Must see!

This gem theater is located in the Ild Downtown area and while yes, there is a sizable homeless population hanging out nearby, I don't believe you have anything to fear if you want to visit this for a performance or just a look into the...More

The Theatro Municipal de São Paulo is one of the most beautiful places in the whole city. You must see a concert or visit the place. Just watch out, because the area (downtonwn) where it takes places it's a little bit dangerous.
