The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

A safe way to spend time outdoors . We found it Easy to hire bikes to cycle around the park and the run from our hotel to the park was all downhill . Don't think you can ever get bored exercising around the tracks and paths . Definitely not to be missed

We visited São Paulo for the day when passing through while traveling around South America. This was the only thing that we really found we could do, the park is lovely but no Central Park. Hiring bikes from gate 4 is your best option. Very reasonable price of R$5 p/hour.

Went there for a 10k morning run. It's São Paulo's Runners Paradise! Recommend to go in the morning as evenings are very croweded.

Either to exercise, or just walk around, breath a little fresh air. Lots of trees, grass areas, and culture, all around the same place!

When you live in São Paulo, you got find a place with trees to breath sometimes. Ibirapuera is one of those, but crowdier.

As a Londoner I'm probably a bit spoilt with parks and I confess I was hoping for slightly more from Ibirapuera. It's a large park with nice paths and cycle tracks and plenty of people in it on a sunny Tuesday in early spring, with some of the bright purple flowers coming out. However several buildings are currently undergoing renovation... More

I can understand why people appreciate a green park in a concrete city like Sao Paulo. A place to unwind from the work pressure and traffic jams. As a tourist, this is just a big park and on a hot sunny day, this is no place to spend the afternoon. We took a quick tour and left the place.

In the park i saw more people doing exercise then tourist, Its bigger and beautiful to walk around the park, you can go to museum inside the park, it has some small bridges. If you want to be out of the buildings, cars and noise, Ibirapuera is a good place to stay some hours.

Its a nice park but nothing great. Very busy, with walkers, cyclists, roller bladers everywhere so you need to keep your wits about you. I got a bit lost - it would have been nice if there had been a few maps around

I read the English description about this park and it is obviously a mistake since it describes the language spoken in Zurich.
