Neighborhood:
Sé, which derives its name from Sé Square, is a central neighborhood in historic São Paulo. Close by, the Law School, the Museum of the Court of Justice and the Metropolitan Cathedral offer inspiring architecture. If you are looking for cultural activities, head to Caixa Cultural and check the schedule. In the area there is a popular pedestrian street called “Rua Direita”, one of the first streets in the region, which today marks the crowded perimeter. Sé is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.
How to get there
  • Vergueiro • 3 min walk
  • Paraíso • 7 min walk

A little bit of Culture
Jul 2017 • Friends
The first time I went to the Cultural Center, I gaped, it was every single thing that I loved!
There you can find books, paintings, dance, theater, classical music, comic books and more! There you can stop for food, to study, to watch a movie, just to enjoy the garden with the trees that survived from the subways constructions or just to stop for a little bit. It's for free, but if you want to visit the library you have to bring you ID.

A place for all the "tribes"
Mar 2016 • Solo
The place is fantastic, with an unique architecture and aggregating all the types of art. The library offers a very calm place to study. There is also a set of cultural attractions that goes on every day. So, it's a place for all the "tribes".

Cultural hotpot on Sundays and a nice rooftop garden
Jan 2016 • Solo
Didn't stay much, but it was a nice place to stumble upon where there were a lot of people practicing dance or playing music. There is also a rooftop lawn and garden. Definitely free art of you were to stay around and people watch.

Nice, but very poorly maintained
Oct 2014 • Family
Like many public places in SP, the CCSP is very poorly maintained. It's a great place, great space and the idea behind it is excellent, but there's very poor maintenance happening here, and the exhibitions, despite being great, are very poorly organized. Still worth a visit.

Good memories in this place
The place is cold since it is open and very large area. However, I went there many times to watch shows, theater, to study in the library or in the open area (outside the library), to meet people, to stay some time there talking to friends. Very good quality of everything there. I spent many hours in this place in my youth. Good memories in this place.

Great Insight
Feb 2013 • Friends
Very worthwhile and a good value for the price. I learned a lot. The exhibits were only in Portuguese but easy to figure out nonetheless.
