First time in São Paulo? It can be a little overwhelming to say the least. Take this half-day private driving tour and get an overview of all this vibrant Brazilian city has to offer. Considered Brazil’s ‘late bloomer’, what São Paulo lacks in colonial history, it more than makes up for with its modern architecture and emerging art scene. Personalize your tour by choosing stops along the way to explore, snap some pics or grab a bite.

We were in Sao Paulo at the beginning of January, a young artist had been killed by the police and Batman Alley was in mourning. They had painted black over all the work and written messages of love and support in its place. There was still plenty of art in the area and it was incredible. We loved the colors, the choices of subject, the neighborhood. The street vendors were interesting, it was rainy and everybody was scurrying to pack up, everyone helping one another laughing and chatting.

In a picturesque part of Sao Paulo, theres a bohemian street with handcrafts and skilled graffiti art lining both sides of the street. There are few bars within the alley and on the streets leading to this area. The graffiti features icon figures making political, comical and/or artistic statements.

This is a very interesting graffiti urban art open space in Vila Madalena, São Paulo. For any comics fan is a must-go place. its nickname came from a graffito of the DC Comics character Batman which was painted on one of the walls in the late 80s, in later years it evolved and it is continually renovated and cared for by local community members.
